There never seems to be enough hours in the day to exercise. You know you need to a workout into your daily schedule, but where and how? Below are tips with some time management tips and tricks that ensure you never miss a session.
It’s something many of us say a lot: “I just never have the time to do it.”
“It” could mean any number of different things for different people. For you right now, it means exercising.
The good news is that you DO have the time to exercise. That isn’t an issue. There is always time. What you need help with is finding that time amidst your busy daily schedule that involves your kids, your job, cooking, cleaning and your partner.
The first thing you need to do is take a deep breath. Inhale and exhale. It’s very important that you don’t get stressed. Then, take a look at our 10 tips that will help you to always find time to exercise.
Walk To Work
This is a really neat hack that always amazes people when we share it.
If you live close to your work, it’s a great idea to leave your car in the garage and avoid the rush hour traffic by walking your way to work. In this way, you’re not really losing out on anything except a bit of time. But all you need to do is get up a bit earlier in the morning. Is it worth it? Totally! You could listen to your favourite tunes too.
If you live too far from work and walking it there would take you a whole week, there is an alternative: You could park your car near to work and walk the rest of the way.
Switch Off
You’ve done a few tasks, and now you’re going to spend about 30 minutes idling around, watching television and surfing the Internet for funny memes.
We all do it. But could you not be using this time to exercise?
Phones, TV’s and laptops are distractions. Turn them off for a while and use the time to work out.
Get Up Earlier
We all love our beds. Isn’t it amazing when we can turn over in our beds and lie in for another thirty minutes? But while those extra minutes seem like manna from heaven at the time, they’re not really offering you any benefits in the long run. You still have to get up eventually, and when you do you might have missed out on vital exercise time.
When you wake up earlier, you have more time to get stuff done – such as exercising.
And if you never feel like exercising when you first wake up, a good way to get you straight in the mood is to prepare the night before. Get some workout music lined-up on your iPod before you go to bed, and go to sleep in your workout clothes.
Take Walks With Friends
Instead of going to the same places and doing the same things with your friends whenever you guys meet up, consider doing something different this time, such as going for a walk or a run. You can still talk and catch up. But instead of lounging around on the sofa, you’re up and about!
Exercise During Your Lunch Break
For a lot of employees, their lunch break is precious. They get 60 minutes, and they’re going to make sure they get the best out of them.
But are we really getting the best out of our lunch breaks when we just sit around, eat, play on our phones and chat for an hour? Is there more we could be doing?
There is. And if you need to find somewhere to fit exercise into your daily routine, your lunch break could be the perfect place.
Take The Stairs
Ignore the elevator if you have three flights or less to go up (or down) and take the stairs. You’ll lose a bit of time, but you’re getting some exercise in.
Workout With The Kids
If you’ve got kids, it can be extra hard to find the time to exercise. But why not work out with them?
A lot of the time, finding the time to squeeze exercise into your daily routine means combining tasks.
Quit With The Excuses
Everyone always has an excuse as to why they can’t find the time to exercise. If you’re still trotting out excuses, it’s time to quit them. Otherwise, you really won’t find the time. Believe you can do it and you will.
Make It A Priority
Lastly, the real reason why you can’t find a way of fitting exercise into your daily routine is simply that you haven’t made it a priority.
If we don’t make something a priority, of course it’s going to get put on the back burner – by us and others. Whatever is at the top of your list of priorities won’t be forgotten about, and you’ll do what you can to make it happen.
So while we wouldn’t dream of suggesting that you put exercise before your kids, is there any way you could nudge it up a few places on your list of things to do?
Stay happy and healthy!

Saraki made this known on Saturday, April 29, at the 31st Annual Mawlid of Sheikh Ibrahim Niass in Ilorin, Kwara state capital, Nigerian Tribune reports.
The Senate president also urged Nigerians to continue to pray for peace and prosperity in the country.
“All of us, irrespective of tribe and religious affiliations, should work for progress of the country,” he said.
According to Saraki, prayers by all Nigerians would bring about the desired peaceful co-existence and engender growth of the nation in the face of global economic down-turn and insecurity.
He identified dialogue as the legal means of conflict resolution as he commended the organizers of the Mawlid event, thanking God for making it hitch-free and without any security challenge.
The Mawlid event, which was organized worldwide by the Majmahu Ahbab Shiekh Ibrahim Niass with members of Tijaniyah group movement across Nigeria and other Africa countries in attendance, witnessed complete shutdown of the entire city of Ilorin as vehicular movement was restricted due to influx of participants.

Adedoyin Sulaiman, former manager of Nigerian actress turned businesswoman, Lilian Bach, is currently in detention for allegedly stealing over N7million from the actress’ account.
However, when arraigned in court, Adedoyin pleaded not guilty, saying she only borrowed a total sum of N120,000 to pay her child’s school fee.
Also, Adedoyin’s sister was quoted as saying that Lillian Bach was away for some time when Adedoyin was seriously in need of some money to pay her child’s school fee.
She asked for a loan which was approved by Assistant Manager and Lillian Bach from the company’s accounts to take care of her pressing need.
“Adedoyin later paid N60,000 out of the money she borrowed from the company’s accounts and the balance was N60,000. I was later shocked to receive a call that the Police officers have arrested our daughter.
She actually notified the company’s management that she will be resigning right after paying off her debt. Bach arrested her and not only Adedoyin, but with her visitor who was with her as at that time, who happened to be her brother,” she said.
But in a conversation with New Telegraph, Lilian Bach said, “The lady took advantage of the fact that I travel a lot to steal and loot so much from my shop.
After the auditing I did with a reputable auditing firm, I realised she’d stolen more than N7million. She got herself an American visa and was going to flee the country.
It was sometime in October last year that she gave me a call that she wanted to see me. I asked her to talk to me over the phone and she then sent me a copy of her visa. I was happy for her and because I trusted her so much, she got into me posing as a true Christian.
It was a salesgirl that told me of how badly she and some of her family member had been stealing from my shop. It was the police that charged her to court and when she was unable to meet the bail conditions, she was detained at Kirikiri prisons.”

Most girls couldn’t live without their mascara and, although you might have thought it’s a relatively recent invention, it has actually been around since 4000 BC, when both men and women used a type of mascara on their eyes in ancient Egypt. So, what else don’t you know about mascara? Read on and learn ten more things about your mascara that you never knew:
1. Modern mascara was invented by Eugéne Rimmel
Although mascara has been around a long time, the mascara that we are now familiar with was invented by the French perfumer, Eugéne Rimmel, in the 1830’s. His brand of mascara has become so linked to the product, that ‘Rimmel’, is the word that translates into mascara in a number of different languages including French and Portuguese.
2. Mascara is no good, after three months
Mascara is one of the few makeup products that actually goes out of date. You shouldn’t be using mascara that is more than three months old.
3. Sleeping with mascara on can break your eyelashes
Leaving your makeup on overnight is never a good idea and one of the reasons why not is because mascara stiffens your lashes, a little like hair spray stiffens your hair. If you sleep with your mascara on, there is every chance that you will snap a few of your lashes.
4. Mascara contains mercury.
Don’t worry, it’s not enough to harm you, but it is an interesting fact that, while mercury is banned from all other makeup products, it is still allowed in mascara, because there is no other alternative ingredient.
5. It contains fish scales
Most mascaras contain a substance called guanine, which is ground up fish scales. This is used to put the shimmer in mascara and some other makeup products too.
6. Be careful when you apply mascara!
Make sure you have a steady hand when you apply mascara, because the American Food and Drug Administration reports that the most common injury caused by makeup is a scratched eye from a mascara wand.
7. There was permanent mascara that caused blindness
In the 1930’s, there was a product market in the US, called ‘Lash Lure’. This product was hailed as a permanent lash dye, but was banned after more than a dozen women were blinded by it. This was one of the incidents that lead to the cosmetics industry being regulated.
8. You spend a lot of money on mascara
The average woman is estimated to spend nearly $4,000 on mascara alone, in the course of her life.
9. Why you open your mouth to apply mascara
Most women open their mouths instinctively when they apply mascara and there is a good reason for this. When your mouth is open, it makes it harder to blink.
10. Revlon led the way with mascara
Revlon was the first cosmetics company to produce mascara in a tube, with a spiral wand, and they were the first to introduce brush-on mascara, and the first type of coloured mascara too.
Stay beautiful!

Washington, U.S.A — Thousands of people across the U.S. are marching on President Donald Trump’s hundredth day in office to demand action on climate change, USA Today reports.
In Washington, D.C., large crowds on Saturday made their way down Pennsylvania Avenue in sweltering heat. Later, they encircled the White House. Organizers say about 300 other protest marches are expected around the country.
Participants in the People’s Climate March say they’re objecting to Trump’s rollback of restrictions on mining, oil drilling and greenhouse gas emissions at coal-fired power plants, among other things.
In Augusta, Maine, protesters outside the statehouse said they wanted to draw attention to the damage climate change can cause marginalized communities.
A demonstration stretched for several blocks in downtown Tampa, Florida, where marchers said they were concerned about the threat rising seas pose to the city.
In Boston, a crowd gathered in public park in downtown. Marchers carried signs with slogans such as “Dump Trump.”

An iridologist, Dr Gilbert Ezengige, has warned against ignoring any feeling of discomfort in the eyes. It could be a sign of the state of one’s health.
Many Nigerians Ezengige said, were unaware of the usefulness of iridology as an alternative arm of healing. He said Iridology (also known as iridodiagnosis or iridiagnosis) is an alternative medicine technique whose proponents claim that patterns, colours, and other characteristics of the iris can be examined to determine information about a patient’s systemic health. The practitioners are simply referred to as Iridologists. “Iridology is based on the scientific study of the iris — the coloured part of the eye. Like markings on a map, the iris reveals physiological conditions, psychological health risks, challenges and/or strengths of various organs and personality traits.
‘’Through iridology, we can get an understanding of your past, present, and potential future health conditions by assessing the various body systems. Your inherited tendencies compounded by toxic accumulations in various parts of your body are also revealed,” he explained.
Dr Ezengige said this natural medicine practice examines the eyes as mirrors to the body, believing that the iris reflects the condition and function of every organ.
“Iridologists look at the patterns, colours, and other characteristics of the iris to gather information about a patient’s health. Through tried and proven principles, iridologists use the eyes as a wonderful piece of equipment to determine the health of the body,” he stated.
According to Dr Ezengige, Iridology can be a way of detecting signs of developing illness or disease at their earliest stage before they become problems and before clinical indicators or physical symptoms develop. Because the different markings and colours of the iris in the unique zones of the eye correspond to the organs in the body, they can indicate potential health issues.
“Patients may gain an early advantage in the prevention and treatment of illness, before a small health problem becomes worse. Iridology can allow you to take action early and make lifestyle changes to ensure you stay healthy. An examination can help you determine many health markers including your constitutional strengths and weaknesses, nutritional deficiencies, areas of injury, inflammation or degeneration, accumulation of toxins, emotional issues, as well as identifying key risk factors in your body. The unique colour, markings, and structures of your irises can reveal valuable information about your physical, mental, and emotional state of health,” he explained.
And the consultation is simple, painless, and non-invasive as the practitioner uses a small flashlight and magnifying glass to examine the eyes. “Iridology can be a glimpse into the condition of external processes that are otherwise difficult to gauge – i.e. degeneration, congestion, toxicity, and acidity levels. The iris is a window to the brain; with thousands of nerve endings, microscopic blood vessels, muscle and connective tissue, they reflect the inner workings of the body. Every organ is connected to the iris via the nervous system. Therefore, iridology can be viewed as the starting point of preventive healthcare.
Iridology offers a holistic approach to assessing patient health. Combined with other natural treatments, Iridology can improve your vibrancy and energy levels. After seeing an iridologist you will be able to look at the health of your body with clear eyes,” he noted.

Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to President Muhammadu Buhari has ruled out the possibility of his principal’s resignation over his health condition.
Adesina who said those making the call are “merely expressing their opinions,” made this known while speaking to journalists at the public presentation of the book “Against the Run of Play; How an Incumbent President was Defeated in Nigeria,” written by Olusegun Adeniyi , Chairman, ThisDay Editorial Board and former Special Adviser, Media to late President Umaru Yar’Adua .
“Saying the president should resign is an opinion but don’t forget that 15 million people elected the president so if one or two people express their opinion, will their opinion override that of 15 million people that voted for him? Those who are expressing their opinion have rights to their opinion,” DailyPost quoted Adesina as saying.
On the state of Buhari’s health, he said: “There is no need for apprehension, God spared the president the first time. Remember he said that he has never been as ill as he was before. The same God that spared him will also ensure that he returns to full health. Nigerians prayed and God answered, Nigerians are still praying and God will still answer.”
