Few days ago the #SaveMayowa tag was online and every Nigerian was into the business of saving Mayowa but the following was found on linda ikeji blog today :

This is such a sad thing for me to report this afternoon. Just two days after we were all happy that Nigerians kindly donated to cancer patient, Mayowa Ahmed, for surgery she needed for ovarian cancer, LIB just learnt that Mayowa and her family scammed kind hearted Nigerians.

You see, Mayowa is really sick. She truly has Ovarian cancer. She’s admitted at LUTH but she didn’t need money for surgery, because doctors had told Mayowa she was beyond treatment and no hospital in the world could treat her as she was extremely far gone. Mayowa had reached stage 4 and doctors, unfortunately, already told her family she won’t survive it and had advised them to take her home. Her family instead used her situation to raise money from Nigerians. The doctors in LUTH have also denied giving her family a medical report advising her to seek treatment abroad. Continue..

Toyin Aimakhu, who was one of those who spearheaded the fundraising, as you read this, is at LUTH right now with police officers. Some people also went to the family’s home and the place is locked up. Will share video from the scene at LUTH, involving Toyin and one other donor later…

Popular online retailer, Jumia is currently being sued by Veteran actor, Richard Mofe Damijo.

The case centers around the unauthorized use of the actor’s image on their fashion page without the actor’s permission.

According to reports, the continued use of the image portrays to unsuspecting customers that the online retailer enjoys the patronage or endorsement of the actor.

The actor is a well known brand ambassador for numerous companies, he is known to jealously guide his image and what products and services he is associated with.

The logical conclusion is that the actor’s image has probably raised the brand’s awareness at the actor’s expense.

Jumia has admitted to using the actor’s image but are yet to make an offer for compensation.

RMD has instructed his lawyer to engage the Mumia and to seek redress at a court of law.

The One Lagos brand will showcase the true spirit of Lagos through different create expressions while leveraging on the City’s abundant soft power in an attempt to reverse the negative conversation while celebrating our people, places and the unique heritage of Lagos. The brand will leverage on the best of the most populous black city, the second largest film industry on the globe, the richest City in Africa and the fashion, technological, design and aviation hub in Africa.

The brand aims to promote the diverse multicultural heritage of Africa’s largest mega-city and showcase the vibrant energy of its people.

The One Lagos brand was conceived to drive economic growth across all communities in Lagos by ensuring that we take advantage of our population, its density, its wealth and its culture by focusing attention on community consumption to grow and deepen Lagos tourism assets.

At the moment the One Lagos app is up and available for download on the Ios and Android platforms.

Activities to herald the event will commence on Wednesday, 27th July and culminate in the official launch on Friday, 29th July, 2016.

The 3-day event will feature performances by top rated music star artistes, comedy shows, cultural displays, dance competitions, models on the fashion runway and kids’ entertainment segments.

This celebration will continue on a monthly basis with a series of scheduled events up till the celebration of Lagos State @ 50 and beyond.

This saying proves true in the case of Mr Sosu Patrick, who claims he is (and many agree with him) Accra’s most stylish roast corn vendor.

Captured by Ghanaian photographer and health enthusiast, Kobby Blay in these pictures, Sosu Patrick, popularly known as SP is a 40-year-old vendor of a highly favored Ghanaian street eatables, roasted plantain and coconut.

For most, this trade is reserved for women. But even as it is astonishing to most people in the patriarchal Ghanaian system that SP would dabble in this trade, what draw more people to him would certainly have to be his “unusually” sharp dressing and heightened sense of hygiene, style, and branding, Pulse Nigeria relates.

In the pictures, which have since gone viral, Mr. Sosu is seen donning a suit, white shirt, a beaded tie of the Ghana flag colors topped with a wide-brimmed leather hat.

Sosu narrated to Kobby Blay how his business had started some five years ago after he had “a dream that this was going to be his breakthrough”.

“I have some other children too, and they are in school where I hail from,” Sosu narrated, “I have a quite a large farm and will soon complete my house.”

On health, the middle-aged stylish corn seller says he is probably Accra’s “best seller of good healthy roasted corn” as he doesn’t allow his customers to touch the corn until after they have purchased it from him. He enthused to Blay, “I don’t want my customers to blame me for cholera”.

Sosu is definitely. Beacon to show that no matter what one does, if one is hardworking and unique, excellence is certain.

Sensational American pop star, Justin Timberlake was slapped in the face by an overly enthusiastic fan.

The pop star was shockingly slapped on the face by a drunken stranger over the weekend while attending the 27th annual American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe.

Reports by TMZ show that the award winning singer was trying to walk through a crowd at the golf tournament when he was suddenly blessed with a light slap on the face.

Justin slowed down to find the assailant who was then apprehended by police but the artist declined to press charges.

According to the gossip site, the slapper refused to be escorted off the golf course and gave his explanation for slapping the ‘Mirrors‘ singer as just wanting to touch him.

Police arrested the over enthusiastic fan for disorderly conduct and told TMZ that he seemed intoxicated and “belligerent.”

Timberlake who was inducted into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame late last year is an American singer, songwriter, actor and record producer.

The Boy’s name his Chinecheremu and he lives in Anambra state.

Chinecheremu built this model house from scratch and the details are amazing. Using local materials, he gives it an international feel.

The house is detailed like the modern houses we see in Lagos these days – two pillars up front, a balcony and porch, multiple bedrooms and a stunning black roof with white edges.

This 10 year Old’s design is probably better than what most graduates of architecture design these days.

Sure pure talent! May he dream come true, and Mau he build a better, real-life house.
