Queen Nwokoye has been in acting since 2004. For years, she was not one of the prominent stars, in spite of the fact that she befriended a lot of star actors.
Speaking to Sunday Scoop on her journey to stardom and how she became a star without relocating to Lagos, which is considered the hub of entertainment, Nwokoye said:
Does that mean she is one of the said few that didn’t have to sleep with a producer to get movie roles? ‘‘If it is true that actresses have to sleep with producers to get roles, I’m happy I didn’t have to do so. Sometimes, it is people’s way of trying to explain away their failure. I didn’t pass through it. From my experience, nobody ever asked to sleep with me. If you present yourself as someone that can sleep around to get roles, people will treat you that way. But the truth is how many people do you want to sleep with before you become famous?”
Queen, who has refused to discuss her marital status, said stardom hasn’t changed her. “I don’t think anybody can accuse me of being proud. I don’t even consider myself a star and I don’t see how someone like me can begin to act arrogantly.”

Ali Modu in an interview on Channels TV said Fani-Kayode sent 20 persons to beg him. After he contacted his lawyers to sue Fani-Kayode for saying he (Ali) is affiliated to Boko Haram. Also saying “the likes of Fani-kayode who change goal posts on every issue, should not be taken seriously.”
In a Tweetstorm the former minister said,
“Lying Ali Modu Sheriff told Channels TV that I sent people to beg him for claiming that he was Boko Haram. These are the lies of a desperate and drowning man… He came to destroy the PDP and if we did not rise up against him and kick him out when we did he would have succeeded in his mission.”
The former minister didn’t stop at that. Here are further tweets,

Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state has flagged off the distribution of food items and farm outreach targeting 40,000 victims of the Boko Haram insurgency through the support of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which donated one million dollars to the Borno State Government. This is part of a post conflict intervention that is meant to support victims who are returning to their communities, as the gallant Nigerian soldiers have largely defeated the Boko Haram sect. Governor Shettima launched at the support with the distribution of 25 kilogram bag of rice and 10 kilogram bag of beans to each of 1,100 households at Mainok village in Kaga local government area, 45 kilometers away from Maiduguri. The Governor announced that officials of the State Government working with the Gates Foundation used the $1m to procure the food items and commenced funding of 100 hectares of farm where beans is now being cultivated. He explained that 200 farm-families will be allocated tilled and fertile land measuring half hectare each along with improved seeds, fertilizer, chemicals and technical supervision so that they can start growing food crops. The Governor also announced the release of two trucks of maize grid to add to the food procured with Gates donation. “We are grateful to God for creating people like Mr Bill Gates and his dear wife, Melinda. Governor Ayodele Fayose says the nation is in the hands of wrong managers who have resorted to nepotism.
This is according to a statement released by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka.
“Nepotism is the reason our President discarded competent people in his party that should be running the government with him and opted for his relatives, friends, in-laws and very close associates,” He said. “The moment a government is unable to guarantee the existence of the people, it must resort to nepotism to protect itself and that is exactly what is being witnessed in Nigeria, especially with the lopsided appointments of security chiefs and key functionaries of the Federal Government.”
The statement further posits the federal government doesn’t know what to do and won’t engage those who do.
The Governor touched on the state of the economy- the fall of the naira against the dollar and the increased prices of rice and kerosene. He points out “those people that aided the emergence of President Buhari must be having a rethink now”.

Leaders of the Indigenous People of Biafra dissociates the group from Kanu’s counsel’s statement.
The defence team’s sack is as a result of statements they made in regards to the IPBO and the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND).
“Following the press conference earlier today by our legal team, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Worldwide has been reliably and incontrovertibly informed that some of the utterances of their defence lawyers were made without consultation. These utterances border on negotiations and some were against the Niger Delta Avengers,” the statement reads.
“The press conference was NEVER about negotiations because should negotiations start, IPOB will notify the world about it. Right now, we are not negotiating and will not negotiate until existing court orders ordering the release of Nnamdi Kanu are obeyed.”
Kanu’s defence team earlier said the IPOB leader is willing to negotiate with the Federal Government to end Indigenous People of Biafra’s push for emancipation. And also denied the group had links with the MEND.

Samson Siasia says the NFF owes him five months’ pay.
The under 23 coach revealed this on Brilla F.M.
He said the Nigerian Football Federation and Sports Ministry have shown no respect to the team.
“We have only been paid allowances for 11 days. There is no match bonus. What of all the months we have been training in Nigeria and Atlanta? That’s not fair. I have not received my salary for the past five months. Everything is upside down and the boys don’t want to play anymore. Whatever they want to do, I’m with them. They are right for fighting for their rights.”
Stories emerging from the team has it that Mikel Obi paid $4000 to cover part of the team’s expenses. The sports Ministry has debunked this part of the story.
There are indications the team will boycott its match against Denmark if their allowances are not paid.
While we hope issues get resolved on time, here’s what to watch out for:
