Presidential aide Femi Adesina said in an interview on NTA on Sunday, February 6 that the doctors now have ample time to examine the president’s health while he could also get adequate rest.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Femi Adesina, a special adviser to the president on media and publicity, told the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in an interview that this was so because there is no vacuum in government.

Adesina was quoted as saying that since there was Yemi Osinbajo in place as acting president, Buhari could take as much time as needed for an adequate rest.

He said: “When he was leaving on Jan. 19 we announced that it was a vacation during which he would also do routine medical check-ups.

”Now, those check-ups have thrown up things that need to be further looked at and that is why he is asking for this extension of the vacation.

“The time is not stated and that reason is not far to seek because Mr President transmitted power to his vice, who is now the acting President.

“So, he does not need to be under that pressure of time again because there is no vacuum in government, there is an acting president.

“Therefore, the doctors can now exhaustively look at him and give him a clean bill of health before he returns home.”dent Buhari’s alleged death because it was ungodly.

Instead, he said, Nigerians should always pray for the good health of the president.

“My message will be what I also said before, goodwill, let us have goodwill towards our president.

“We as human beings must have goodwill towards one another. Any man can be sick; any man can get well; any man can even die, we are mortals. Anybody can die; anybody falls sick can also get well.

President Buhari’s media aides Garba Shehu and Femi Adesina say there is nothing to worry about his health even though they say no date yet for his return.
“Therefore, all those who peddle those evil, mischievous, malicious and malevolent rumours on social media need to have a rethink. Instead of all those evil wishes they should have goodwill towards the president.”

Recall that President Buhari departed Abuja for the United Kingdom on Thursday, January 19 on a 10-day leave as part of his annual vacation after formally handing over mantle of leadership of the country to his Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

Meanwhile, another presidential aide Garba Shehu, who is the senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, has insisted that the president was not in a hospital as being widely circulated but at the Nigerian High Commission in UK.

He said: “I just spoke to the president’s personal doctor, and he told me President Buhari is not in any serious condition as to worry about.”

Oils have been used in religious ceremonies, cosmetics, funeral rites and perfume. The Ancient Egyptians are often credited with being the first to use essential oils. One of the oldest documents – dating back to 1553 BC – called the Ebers Papyrus details how to use frankincense for a variety of ailments. When Tutankhamen’s tomb was discovered in 1922, archeologist Howard Carter found 35 alabaster jars that were used to hold oils. Chinese aromatherapists believed that extracting a plant’s fragrance was a way to free its soul. The Ancient Greek Hippocrates used the aromatherapy of several essential oils to fumigate Athens and fight off the plague epidemic. Today, scientists, physicians and researchers are beginning to return to the use of essential oils as a way to naturally and holistically heal our bodies.
There are no medicines out there capable of breaking the blood/brain barrier, but essential oils can. There are no medicines out there that can infiltrate a cell to cure a virus, but essential oils can. Always check with a physician before using essential oils, which are generally not recommended to be taken internally. Pregnant and nursing women and children under six should also avoid essential oils.
Oils are natural anti-depressants, antibacterial fighters, and immune strengtheners. Read on to discover how you can use essential oils to enhance your life now.

Lavender
Lavender is an anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-depressant oil that has a multitude of functions. Add a few drops to a carrier oil such as sunflower oil and spritz it on you your body to repel mosquitoes. Place dried lavender sachets in your closets and drawers to ward off moths. Add 5 drops to a humidifier to relieve a stuffy nose. Place a few drops on your pillow to combat insomnia. Add a few drops of lavender oil to your favorite facial moisturizer and see your skin naturally restored. Add a few drops of lavender oil to a bottle of witch hazel and use to combat acne. Make some lavender tea and use the water as a dandruff rinse. Lavender and peppermint oil mixed with a carrier oil such as Jojoba will cure headaches when rubbed on the temples. Simmer dried lavender with citrus peels in a pot of water to serve as a natural air freshener. Add baking soda, lavender, water, and rubbing alcohol to a spray bottle to make your own natural antiseptic cleaner. Inhale lavender periodically to fight feelings of sadness.

Frankincense
Frankincense is a holy oil; it’s one of the gifts presented to Christ by the three wise men. It’s used during many religious ceremonies for spiritual protection. Frankincense has been grown and hulled in Omar since 7,000 B.C. When the farmers collect Frankincense, they make a cut in the bark and let the sap ooze out releasing any impurities and negative energy. They wait a few weeks and then return to collect the now cleansed sap. The immunologist Mahmoud Suhail is studying frankincense as a possible cure for cancer after scientists observed that some agent within frankincense stops cancer from spreading.
On a practical note, frankincense can be added to your lotion or soap to prevent acne. It will help heal and calm burns, rashes, cuts and scrapes. Frankincense makes a great massage oil because not only will it purify your skin but it will put up a protective barrier in your aura to prevent other people’s negativity from effecting you.
You can also mix it with coconut oil and rub into your children’s feet to increase their immune system and help them sleep through the night. Know to reduce anxiety, rub a few drops behind your ears and on wrists to ease stress. You can also diffuse in your room to uplift your mood. Add a few drops to a handkerchief and inhale to relieve nasal congestion. Frankincense is also known to help with asthma and allergies.
Add 8 – 10 drops of Frankincense to your bath and soak for at least 20 minutes to relieve menstrual pain. Because of its ant-inflammatory properties, Frankincense can also help with Crohn’s disease and arthritis. As always, check with your doctor first. People using blood thinners such as Plavix should not use Frankincense. Do not use while pregnant or nursing.

Lemon
If life gives you lemons, inhale the scent and you’ll feel more joyful instantly. This happy essential oil has a myriad of uses to enhance your home, body and mood. It’s great at removing sticky, gooey messes. If you hate eliminating price tags, add a drop of lemon oil and see it easily slide off. Add a few drops off essential lemon oil to your water to purify it. Add a few drops of lemon oil to your cutting board to erase harsh odors and cleanse bacteria residue. Lemon essential oil is a natural mood enhancer. Place a few drops in a diffuser and inhale to feel happier and more joyful. Inhaling the scent of lemon also curves the desire for sweets.
Add a few drops to your skin moisturize to brighten your skin tone. Add a few drops to your shampoo to clarify hair and make it appear shinier. Add a few drops to a teaspoon of honey to cure bad breath. To help alleviate flu symptoms, add a few drops of lemon essential oil and honey to a mug of warm water. Place a few drops into unrefined coconut oil to help reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Peppermint
Throughout history, peppermint has been used to cure bad breath, soothe tummy troubles, relieve colic, gas, headaches, heartburn and indigestion. Emotionally, Peppermint can help soften anger, ease depression and eliminate fatigue. Add a few drops to your coffee or tea to alleviate indigestion. Apply a few drops to the back of neck and shoulders throughout the day to keep your energy up. Rub a drop or two on your temples, forehead and over sinuses (carefully avoiding contact with eyes) to alleviate sinus pressure and headaches. Diffuse to reduce appetite. Add to a carrier oil such a Jojoba and rub into an upset stomach. Rub a few drops to the bottoms of your feet to reduce a fever. Apply topically to eliminate itching from bug bites. Inhale before and after workouts to boost your mood and reduce fatigue. Diffuse in a room to enhance focus and concentration while studying. To deter rodents, ants and cockroaches, place a few drops of peppermint oil on a cotton ball and place on their path or entry area. Add 4 – 5 drops to a bottle of water and spray on plants to kill aphids. You can also add a few drops of peppermint oil to a bottle of water and mist to reduce hot flashes.

Oregano
Oregano is the essential oil to turn to for immune support. Obviously well known for its culinary abilities, oregano also works wonders to help us stay and feel healthy. Oregano oil must always be diluted in a carrier oil such as olive or almond oil. Oregano oil is highly concentrated so one drop goes a long way. For foot fungus, dilute one teaspoon of oregano essential oil in 2 teaspoons of olive oil and apply to the infected area three times a day. It’s a great disinfectant. Add a few drops to a bottle of water and spray countertops to eliminate bacteria and odors.
Oregano essential oil is a powerful antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal and antiparistic oil that can reduce pain and inflammation while warding off infections. Add a drop or two to a glass of milk to reduce digestive issues. Add 3 drops to a glass of juice and drink three to five a day to reduce sinus congestion. Add 3 drops of oregano to a glass of orange juice to ward off sore throat pain. Repeat until symptoms are gone.

Again, pregnant and nursing women and children under six should not ingest these oils. Emotionally, oregano makes one feel less fearful. It induces feelings of calm and promotes inner serenity.

Breakfast is the most important meal that we must not skip in order to stay healthy, and not to gain pounds. The school or work schedules of many people have made them to perpetually skip breakfast.
Our body, just like any other organism, needs a fuel to be able to work properly. But those who skip breakfast tend to eat more portions of food than usual at the next meal. There are so many reasons why people shouldn’t skip breakfast, but here are the main ones:

1. It helps to maintain a healthy weight
Various studies have shown that people who eat breakfast have a much better chance of losing pounds. When you skip meals, you feel so hungry by lunch that you eat too much food. The National Weight Control Registry reports that 90 % of people who eat breakfast daily lost 30 or more pounds and have kept their weight off.
While you might think the easiest way to cut calories is to skip a meal altogether, eating throughout the day helps maintain and speed up your metabolism. If you eat a healthy whole grain breakfast paired with fruits, your body will feel more satisfied and you will not feel the urge to reach for that mid-day snack to help curb your hunger.

2. Keeps your heart healthy

3. Breakfast improves metabolism

To keep your metabolism in a good shape you need to eat breakfast at least 2 hours of waking up.

4. Increased energy level
If you skip breakfast, it is possible that your organism may be up to 12 hours or longer without any food taken. By this point, your muscles need more glycogen, for energy, so the longer you don’t eat, the more glycogen your muscles use, and the less energy you have. Skipping breakfast is a common factor among those who have sedentary lifestyles, and in order to change that lifestyle you must keep your energy level high, eat a healthy breakfast each day.
5. Better concentration
When you feel hungry for a longer time, besides feeling the physical effects, such as headaches, weakness, and stomach discomfort, you can have mental effects too. Hunger affects your mood, concentration, and alertness, which can be very frustrating. Eating a healthy breakfast that mixes fruits and vegetables, low-fat protein food and whole grains, helps improve your concentration and focus, and allows you to stay productive through lunch.

TuFace Cancels Nationwide Protest

Cutting back on salt, high fat foods and too many breads and pasta, and eating more fruits and vegetables is the best way to a healthy heart. But eating well isn’t just about what you eat, say heart experts, but about when you eat.

In a new Scientific Statement, experts from various committees of the American Heart Association say that paying attention to how often you eat, and at what time of the day you eat, can help to lower risk of heart attacks and stroke.

The panel reviewed all of the available studies on how often and when people eat. Based on what’s known so far, the panel, led by Marie-Pierre St-Onge, an associate professor of nutritional medicine at Columbia University, supports existing advice about the benefits of breakfast. That advice is based on studies that compare breakfast-eaters to non-eaters and their heart disease events. Breakfast-eaters tend to have lower rates of heart disease, and were also less likely to have high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. They also tended to have more normal blood sugar levels and sugar metabolism, meaning they were at lower risk of diabetes than those who didn’t eat breakfast. Still, the existing research isn’t strong enough yet to say that people who don’t normally eat breakfast should start—or that people who already do should expect to be heart-disease and diabetes-free for the rest of their lives.

The data isn’t so clear on the benefits of eating more frequently during day. While some observational studies that ask people about their meal habits suggest that people who eat more often have lower cholesterol and reduced risk of diabetes, the data is more mixed on whether eating smaller meals more often can help with weight loss. And the controlled studies that more rigorously tracked exactly what people ate found that more frequent eating, even if the total number of calories was kept constant, may not be beneficial for lowering heart disease risk or obesity.

Finally, on the question of what effects eating earlier in the day or later in the day can have on heart health, the panel found that the research points toward the benefits of eating earlier rather than later. More studies are needed but the initial finding makes sense, says St-Onge. The more calories you eat during the day, the more chances you have of burning off those calories.

Plus, there’s growing evidence that the body’s metabolism is different during the day, when the body is active, than during the evening, when it’s preparing to shut down. “The body and all of the organs have clocks,” she says. “There is a timing that provide all the nutrients that organs need, and the timing activity of enzymes and other agents that process food are better earlier in the day than at night.”

So while more research is certainly needed to better understand how the timing and frequency of how meals affect your health, it wouldn’t hurt to keep eating breakfast (if you already do) and try to space your meals earlier in the day.
