Learn To Pack Lightly: Packing lightly is an art. Unless you’re walking a runway in Milan, you won’t need more than just a few key ensembles. The folks over at Apartment Therapy stick to this rule-of-thumb: If you’re going away for one week, pack three bottoms and 3 shirts per bottom. For two weeks pack five bottoms. For every dress you pack, you can lose a shirt and a bottom.

Nix The Change Purse: Change purses can be useful, but if yours rarely sees daylight, either because you don’t put change in it, or worse, never take change out of it (this is just dead weight), then it’s time to say goodbye.

Body Shapers: Thank goodness body shaping has evolved from Victorian waspies to Spanx (after all, we want you to be able to breathe). Body shapers are ideal for hiding excess bulge (who likes the sight of love handles or muffin tops?) and allows clothes to glide on smoothly.

Limit Accessories: We love accessories, but we have to draw the line somewhere. If you’re throwing yourself an arm party, then it might be better to steer clear of too many rings. If you’re wearing large earrings that scream for attention, then you might want to forgo an equally radiant necklace — they will only work against each other.

Purse Essentials: A purse isn’t just a fashion statement. It’s main purpose is functional. You carry it around wherever you go so it needs to contain some essentials: your wallet, a pen, pain killers, hand sanitizer, tissues, make-up essentials (we personally won’t leave the house without lip stick and/or lip balm), hand cream, gum or breath mints, tampons or maxi pads (no one wants to be caught off guard during that time of the month), and for those of you who spend lengthy bouts talking, texting or gaming, bring your phone charger along.

When In Doubt, Overdress: There’s nothing worse than showing up an event underdressed. Maybe the invite didn’t specify or involved the word casual — but everyone else dressed up not so casually. If you don’t know what the dress code is, overdress. There’s no harm in looking too pulled together, but you’ll feel uncomfortable if you think you look out of place.

Get Some Stay-Up Thigh-Highs: Sometimes pantyhose creates an unsightly bulge around our mid-section (ladies, you know what we’re talking about). To eliminate this altogether, why not use substitute pantyhose with stay-up thigh-highs? They’ll do exactly what pantyhose does, minus the bulge.

Use Nail Polish To Stop A Tear In Its Tracks: Pantyhose is notorious for ripping. We’ve been victim to this fashion mishap one too many times. Until someone invents pantyhose that won’t tear at the slightest tug, we’ve got a temporary fix. Just dab clear nail polish on both ends of the rip and it should keep it from getting larger.

Work Clothes Need Not Be Frumpy: Just because you have to dress office casual doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice style. Find well-tailored pieces and incorporate accessories and colour to create a more exciting look.

Take Care Of Your Undergarments: To extend the longevity of your bra and ensure a perfect fit each time, you’ll need to take care of them properly. The experts at La Vie En Rose recommend you wash your bras by hand to ensure they lasts as long as possible. If you opt for machine washing, unhook your bra to prevent it from twisting and turning. You may also want to use a wash bag which will separate and protect your bras from the rest of your clothes. Make sure you select a delicate or permanent press cycle, and whatever you do, do not use detergent. It’s way too harsh and will damage the cup, lace and elasticity of your bra. Don’t Overdo Belts: The belt is meant to give you a waist or hold your pants up. There are times however, the belt should be left at home. If an outfit is already fitted, there is no need for a belt. If you are wearing pants but feeling like belting the shirt, it looks a little odd. Use belts sparingly rather than often.

Pretty PJs: You’ve spent all day looking lovely, so why not go to bed looking pretty too? Falling asleep is all about comfort so rest assured, pretty pajamas don’t mean uncomfortable ones. Lose the oversized shirt or baggy sweats for lightweight pajama bottoms and top. Who knows? You might sleep easier.

Less Really Is More: Indecent exposure isn’t classy. Celebrity stylist Jen Rade, who has dressed many beauties including Angelina Jolie, told In Style that only one body part should be exposed at a time. Stock Up On Basics: Know your essentials and stock up. These include white and black blouses, a little black dress, high heels, red lipstick, diamond studs, blue jeans and anything else that has a central role in your style. Remember, these looks are timeless so investing in certain items that are more expensive but higher in quality may be wiser because they will last longer.

Try Everything On: Make sure you always try clothes on when you shop. Yes, we get lazy doing this over and over again but it’s a necessary evil. Sizes change depending on fabric, designer and store. You might also want to bring along your own accessories and shoes (or use some at the store) to get a better sense of how the complete outfit will look. You’ll also save yourself the hassle of returning or exchanging an outfit that doesn’t look right if you try it on before buying it.

Don’t Pretend It Fits: We’ve all been there, standing in the dressing room and convincing ourselves that the button will magically stay closed when we get home (and then, of course, it doesn’t). These are the times where we have to accept that our bodies have changed in one way or another, and buy clothes that fit. Because you know what happens to the clothes that don’t fit (cue garbage bags being dropped off at Goodwill here).

Go Green: Green is this year’s hottest hue according to Pantone so go wild. If you’re not a fan of it (or colour in general), try incorporating it into your outfits in small doses with a green purse or some green accessories like a scarf or bracelet.

If you’ve tried all the creams and potions out there and have applied as many toxic, skin stripping chemicals to your face as you can stand, then try some of these more natural, alternative, home remedies for acne and pimples instead:

1. Lemon
Lemons contain a high concentration of citric acid, which attacks the bacteria that causes acne. Try cutting a lemon in half and gently rubbing your spots with lemon juice (apply lemon juice only on acne spots, avoid applying it on your entire face, as it can be too harsh). If it stings, that’s good! It means that it is working. Rinse your face with lukewarm water in 5-10 minutes.

2. Baking Soda
Mix water and baking soda in equal parts to create a paste and apply to the surface of each spot with a cotton bud and wash it off ten minutes later. The baking soda will help to dry and close up the pores.

3. Wash with Honey
Honey has antibacterial properties but doesn’t dry out the skin. Gently massage some honey into your face in the mornings and rinse with lukewarm water. (This treatment is not recommended for sensitive skin.)

4. Strawberries and Yogurt
Strawberries are a natural source of salicylic acid, which is an ingredient found in many commercial acne remedies. Mix some crushed strawberries with a few tea spoons of natural yogurt and leave on your skin for around 5-10 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water.

5. Tea Tree Oil
One of the most efficient and well known home remedies for acne is Tea Tree oil. This oil is well known for its anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties and is a recommended treatment for mild to moderate outbreaks of acne. Apply it on your acne spots (only on your acne spots) and leave it work its magic overnight.

6. Keeping your towels and linen clean
Be sure to regularly change your bed linen and towels, as the bacteria that causes acne can build up here and be spread to other areas of your skin.

7. Papaya
Raw papaya is a great and natural acne treatment that can help remove dead cells from skin surface, leaving your skin soft and glowing. Papaya also helps reduce inflammation. Mash up some papaya flesh (you can also use your blender), apply it on your clean skin for about 10 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water.
8. Try mint leaves
Crush mint leaves into a paste and mix it with slightly warmed up honey. Apply this mixture on your clean face for 5-10 minutes, then rinse off.

9. Crushed aspirin
Aspirin can help reduce inflammation and prevent your pimples from expanding. Mix crushed aspirin with a little bit of honey, apply this treatment on your acne spots and wait for 5-10 minutes, then rinse.
Some of these ideas may seem a bit wacky, like walking around in the morning with strawberries and yogurt plastered to your face, but sometimes natural home remedies are better and far gentler on your skin, than harsh, man-made chemicals.
(Make sure you are not allergic to these natural skin care products and ingredients before trying any of these treatments.)

10. Ice Cubes
If you have spots that are especially swollen and red, ice can be a great way to reduce inflammation and reduce the appearance of blemishes. Just rub an ice cube on the trouble spots,and not only will your pores close up, the bacteria will be pushed out as well. Win/Win!

And my final tip would be: if your acne problems persist, I recommend visiting a dermatologist, as they are very experienced and can quickly find solutions to your particular problem.

The White House has distributed a list of 78 terrorist attacks to support Donald Trump’s claim that the media is failing to properly report them. But the list includes many atrocities that received blanket western media coverage including the Paris Bataclan attacks, the Nice truck killings and the San Bernardino shootings.
Many others including the Sydney siege and Germany’s Christmas market attack received wide international coverage.
The list also includes multiple errors and spelling mistakes, including ‘San Bernadino’, and excludes numerous terror attacks across the Middle East.
The release comes after the US president told military leaders in Tampa, Florida, on Monday that there have been attacks all over Europe but “in many cases the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it.” He added, “They have their reasons, and you understand that,” but did not expand.
Later the White House press secretary Sean Spicer was asked about specific attacks that had not been reported to which he replied: “We’ll provide a list later. There’s several instances. There’s a lot of instances that have occurred where I don’t think they’ve gotten the coverage it deserved.”
That list, released to media outlets including the Guardian, included a “timeline” of domestic and international incidents from September 2014 to December 2016.
Some, such as last year’s mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando , Florida, and the killing of 129 people in Paris in November 2015, received huge coverage. But officials claimed that “most” of the attacks were not adequately reported by western media outlets, CNN reported.
The list hops from Afghanistan to Algeria to Australia but, without explanation, does not mention Israel, where incidents included a bus bombing in Jerusalem last year, carried out by a 19-year-old Palestinian, that injured 20 people.
The document also includes spelling mistakes such as “attaker” instead of “attacker” and “Denmakr” instead of “Denmark”.
There have been similar errors in official communications in recent days, including references to Theresa May as “Teresa” and a reference to Malcolm Turnbull as the “president” of Australia when it should be “prime minister”.
The catalogue begins with an attack by Abdul Numan Haider, who wounded two police officers in a knife attack in Melbourne in September 2014. It ends with an atrocity involving Anis Amri, who drove a truck into a crowded market in Berlin last December, killing 12 and injuring 48.
Lindsay Walters, a White House spokesperson, claimed that the list demonstrates how terrorist attacks are losing perceived news value because of their frequency. “The real point here is that these terrorists attacks are so pervasive at this point that they do not spark the wall-to-wall coverage they once did,” she said via email.
“If you look back just a few years ago, any one of these attacks would have been ubiquitous in every news outlet, and now they’re happening so often – at a rate of more than once every two weeks, according to the list – that networks are not devoting to each of them the same level of coverage they once did.
“This cannot be allowed to become the ‘new normal’, and the President, for one, is not going to be satisfied until the American people are much safer and more secure.”
Earlier, Spicer told reporters travelling on Air Force One that Trump believes attacks are not “unreported” but “underreported.”
He said: “He felt members of the media don’t always cover some of those events to the extent that other events might get covered.”
But David Gergen, a political analyst and former adviser to four US presidents, condemned Trump’s remarks.
“I think this is one of the most outrageous claims the president has made, among many, because it really says, basically, that the press is not doing its job because it has its own political agenda,” he told CNN. “It doesn’t want you to know the truth about how dangerous terrorism is. It doesn’t want to be out there, it’s just pulling a leftist agenda on you, which is clearly not true.”

Gergen added: “He engages in these falsehoods without producing any serious evidence. The list includes San Bernardino, as if the press didn’t cover that sufficiently. It’s just astonishing and it’s beneath the dignity of the presidency and I think it tears at the fabric of what holds us together as a people when we can’t trust each other, we can’t trust the White House, and he’s telling us we can’t trust the press. This is the way democracies come unravelled.”

Presidential aide Femi Adesina said in an interview on NTA on Sunday, February 6 that the doctors now have ample time to examine the president’s health while he could also get adequate rest.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Femi Adesina, a special adviser to the president on media and publicity, told the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in an interview that this was so because there is no vacuum in government.

Adesina was quoted as saying that since there was Yemi Osinbajo in place as acting president, Buhari could take as much time as needed for an adequate rest.

He said: “When he was leaving on Jan. 19 we announced that it was a vacation during which he would also do routine medical check-ups.

”Now, those check-ups have thrown up things that need to be further looked at and that is why he is asking for this extension of the vacation.

“The time is not stated and that reason is not far to seek because Mr President transmitted power to his vice, who is now the acting President.

“So, he does not need to be under that pressure of time again because there is no vacuum in government, there is an acting president.

“Therefore, the doctors can now exhaustively look at him and give him a clean bill of health before he returns home.”dent Buhari’s alleged death because it was ungodly.

Instead, he said, Nigerians should always pray for the good health of the president.

“My message will be what I also said before, goodwill, let us have goodwill towards our president.

“We as human beings must have goodwill towards one another. Any man can be sick; any man can get well; any man can even die, we are mortals. Anybody can die; anybody falls sick can also get well.

President Buhari’s media aides Garba Shehu and Femi Adesina say there is nothing to worry about his health even though they say no date yet for his return.
“Therefore, all those who peddle those evil, mischievous, malicious and malevolent rumours on social media need to have a rethink. Instead of all those evil wishes they should have goodwill towards the president.”

Recall that President Buhari departed Abuja for the United Kingdom on Thursday, January 19 on a 10-day leave as part of his annual vacation after formally handing over mantle of leadership of the country to his Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

Meanwhile, another presidential aide Garba Shehu, who is the senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, has insisted that the president was not in a hospital as being widely circulated but at the Nigerian High Commission in UK.

He said: “I just spoke to the president’s personal doctor, and he told me President Buhari is not in any serious condition as to worry about.”
