Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu, has waded into the crash of colleague, Tonto Dikeh’s marriage, he once prophesied that three celebrities will have their marriages crashed in 2017.
He shared photos of Tonto, Tiwa Savage and Lilian Esoro, whose marriages have since headed for the rocks, and wondered why people treat women like objects, and how every marriage has its ups and downs.
He took to his Instagram and made a post about celebrity marriages. He also consoled with Tonto Dikeh regarding the recent crash of her barely 2-year-old marriage to Oladunni Churchill.

He wrote:
“A few weeks ago when I blew the whistle on my very dear sister’s broken marriage…. A lot of people, even my celebrity friends too were doubting me and some even said I should face my acting and stop meddling in other people’s matter. Well, shame on you alI, i don’t want to mention names, but you know yourselves. This woman is my very close friend, aside being a colleague, she is someone I call my sister, because that’s what she is to me. I thank God that she had gone an extra mile to talk more about her marital issues so that all the doubting Thomas’s will know the gospel truth once and for all. As I speak right now, there is another top celebrity marriage about to crash, I don’t want to mention the name of the actress involved, but within a few days or more, you all will hear the news…. To hint more on this, the actress whose marriage is boiling right now is also a good friend of mine, but we are not that close sha, as a matter of fact, I just finished talking with her and consoling her on the phone right now, she is in a very bad state now, she is just crying profusely, broken and helpless. I guess not all that glitters are gold after all. Here is an advice to all my female fans out there both in Nigeria and South Africa, please I beg you in the name of God, do not allow anyone pressurize you into getting married to someone who had broken the hearts of so many innocent women in the past, even if you must marry a man who has had a kid or two before, I suggest you do your investigations well, some men are not what they claim to be oh, forget about all the gifts, money, pampering and sweet words, “all na scope oh”! In response to an open letter written by one Joel Ikenna Maskot from Rivers state, actress Tonto Dikeh has confirmed that she and her husband are living separately.

Maskot wrote:
I have been a long time passionate fan of you – Mrs Tonto Dikeh Churchill or do I remove the surname? Your movies from your early days of breaking into the Nollywood industry arrested attention anytime, as the toast of most industry movie directors for scripts. As one of your fans, it bleeds my heart to hear of the unpleasant stories coming from your home especially as you used your fans influence based to react at any latest provocation as if you are lead actress in a home movie.
My dearest Tonto Dikeh, we your fans are instrumental to your fame. Your marriage breakup is the prayers of some of your colleagues and those your actions have offended directly or indirectly. I expected that any challenge in your home should be kept private and away from social media. I want to believe that God blessed you with a loving husband who seem to give all you want but though, there is saying that he who wears the shoe knows where it pinches. Truly, your fans in Rivers state are proud of your height in the industry but we plead that you let sleeping dog lie.

It’s sad to think that the supposed settled marriage crisis in your union still persist indirectly as feelers have it that you choose to subject your husband to emotional torture by taking the child – King Andrea away from him because of his affection for the little boy. My prayer is that you don’t take your beloved son to another controversial Marijuana smoker’s home as attacked. My sister, which I choose to call you, please the drama upon drama in your home if true can be attributed to you going back to your old life of smoking. Now to address a little bit of your letter, firstly I say I do appreciate your concern. Then I move on to say thank you. When a woman leaves her husband, she takes her child because absolutely nothing else matters to her but the child. This is what I did and I happily give all access for his father to see him.
Now my question to you is that did your source also tell you that he has never called for once to ask how his son is doing? I will admit, I personally blocked his access to me for the sake of my emotional stability. But nonetheless he has the nanny’s no, my assistant’s contact,my part time help’s number, and many other mediums of reaching the son your source claims I “took away”. He could use all possible mediums wisely if he wished to.
Secondly I will let you go on the ill talk on smoking as I would love to believe you were just sent and ignored my drug test result or you never even saw it in the first place..
As an acclaimed “concerned fan” I expect you to pray and not to indirectly throw “concerned” shades.
What goes on in my marriage and home is my personal life, i’m grateful for all the years of support you all have been giving me but when it comes to the matters of the heart have enough respect to let us go thru our moments alone.. The governor of the state of Osun, Governor Rauf Aregbesola has blamed poverty as the reason behind Boko Haram insurgeny in Nigeria. According to Daily post, Governor Aregbesola averred that it is shameful for every Muslim to hear that a Muslim can accept N200 to bomb herself and other people.

Recall that an 18-year old Boko Haram terrorist who was recently arrested in Borno state claimed to have been paid N200 to blow herself and others up.
Aregbesola made the call during a gathering of Muslims which was led by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III Osogbo, Osun state.

Aregbesola said: “It is disappointing to hear that Muslims are being asked to kill for paltry sum as low as N200.

“What is the problem with us Muslims. Why is poverty afflicting us so terribly that we can now accept just any amount to kill ourselves?

“This should by now pose a serious challenge to us. And we must set up an organisation and saddle it with the responsibility of how to eradicate this grinding poverty.

“Unless we are not worried by the spate of this economic condition, by now we must develop capacity and strategy to end the poverty.

“Let the truth be told: Religion is not the cause of Boko Haram insurgency but extreme poverty is the root cause. Let us create an organisation to tackle and eradicate poverty now. This is a challenge to the entire Muslim Ummah.”

According to Naij.com, Aregbesola called on Muslims to defeat poverty so the nation can defeat Boko Haram which he said is being fueled by overwhelming poverty in the North-East.

Also, speaking at the programme was Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’adu who commended Governor Aregbesola on his effort to develop the state of Osun despite the economic situation of Nigeria.
The Sultan said: “I must acknowledge your commitment in promoting unity among the various religious organisations in the state as this is in line with our cardinal objective of ensuring a peaceful nation.
“We have not in any way closed our eyes to your administration’s determination in making things happen even in the face of the present realities of the nation’s economy.”

Last year was a fulfilling one for you as you got endorsed by many brands. Is the pressure getting to you?
No it isn’t. It is better to have so much to do than to be idle. And you know, one can’t get endorsed by similar brands at the same time. If after one or two years your contract expires, then, perhaps, a much more competitive brand would want to take over.

What project are you doing at the moment?
Well, I am still pushing my last album, Mama Africa. And I have dropped like four videos off the album. They include Mama Africa, Koffi, Nagode and Ferrari. And besides, I am working on more videos which would be released very soon.

Your last album was quite Afro-centric, what prompted that decision?
That was the focus. After all, the title is Mama Africa; it definitely had to be Afro-centric.

The music industry is dominated by male artistes, does that put pressure on you?
The pressure is there because I have to keep up with what my male counterparts are doing. It is also tough and challenging because in Africa, women are always looked down upon so there are a lot of physical and psychological issues that we tackle as African female artistes whether you are A-List or Z-list. Well, I have chosen to be on God’s list.

What is Yemi Alade’s staying power?
It is definitely God all the way day in day out. And also the team that doesn’t sleep. Shout out to Effizzy Music Group and of course, there is the passion because money can’t buy passion.

A while ago it was reported that you wore a dress worth N2.5M to an event, is that true?
(Laughs) Do you want to buy it from me? Well, you can check it out yourself., check the designer out. You don’t need to hear from me to confirm it. Just go online and see things for yourself.
Celebrities don’t usually wear the same dress twice. Do you intend wearing that gown ever again to any event considering the price?
Well, watch and see. That is all I can say for now; just watch and see.

Well, whenever God decides.

No! Not at all. He should be the one looking for me, I am tired of looking.

Did you ever know you would come this far?
Well, I never knew but just the same, I am still a pencil in God’s hands; I am a moving train.

Could you share the journey of your humble beginning?
You know, music is a very intensive financial project. Omo, the hustle tough then oh . Money no dey to even use record the song wey you wan use blow . Then I would meet producers and beg them to help out. I would volunteer to buy fuel for the generator so that at least, they can help me do a song. You know that kain thing . However, I thank God for Effizy Music Group for believing in me and investing what they had in my career. Ever since I have been moving higher and higher.

Did you ever think of quitting?
I have a BSc in Geography so when things got pretty tough I told myself ‘if worse comes to worst, I will dust up my certificate and pick up a white collar job.’ I thought about that alternative several times. It was God and the passion that kept me going.

As reported by The Telegraph, addressing a cheering audience at a fundraising gala for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), a national LGBT group, Streep referred to Mr Trump’s tweet after her Globes speech, in which he called the celebrated actress “over-rated.”

“Yes, I am the most over-rated, over-decorated and currently, I am the most over-berated actress … of my generation,” she said to laughs. She noted that she wished she could simply stay home “and load the dishwasher” rather than take a podium to speak out – but that “the weight of all these honors” she’s received in her career compelled her to speak out.
“It’s terrifying to put the target on your forehead,” she said. “And it sets you up for all sorts of attacks and armies of brownshirts and bots and worse, and the only way you can do it is if you feel you have to. You have to! You don’t have an option. You have to.”
Streep did not elaborate on the type of attacks she may have been subjected to since her Globes speech, or from whom. The Associated Press reached out to her publicist for details. The term “brownshirts” was first used to describe an early Nazi militia.
Streep was receiving the group’s National Ally for Equality Award, and was the huge draw of the evening. Introduced by filmmaker Ken Burns, she took the stage to a thunderous ovation. After a humorous defense of her remarks in her Globes speech that football and martial arts weren’t arts, which had drawn some criticism – she clarified that she indeed likes football, too – the actress praised the organisation for defending LGBT rights, and spoke about two teachers – one transgender, one gay – who had influenced her childhood in suburban New Jersey.

She then spoke about how early cultures had always put men at the top, but at some point in the 20th century, women, people of color and other minorities began achieving their deserved rights. Progress was fast, and so now, “We shouldn’t be surprised that fundamentalists, of all stripes, everywhere, are … fuming,” she said.
Turning to Mr Trump, she said: “But if we live through this precarious moment – if his catastrophic instinct to retaliate doesn’t lead us to nuclear winter – we will have much to thank this president for. Because he will have woken us up to how fragile freedom really is.”
The country has now learned, she said, “how the authority of the executive, in the hands of a self-dealer, can be wielded against the people, and the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The whip of the executive can, through a Twitter feed, lash and intimidate, punish and humiliate, delegitimize the press and all of the imagined enemies with spasmodic regularity and easily provoked predictability.”
At the end, Streep made a passionate call for religious liberty – the right, as she said,” to live our lives with God or without Her.”
“All of us have the human right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” she said.
“If you think people were mad,” she closed, “when they thought the government was coming after their guns, wait until you see when they try to take away our happiness.”
Streep, 67, received a record 20th Oscar nomination in January.

So take that long delayed vacation, and return to your business with renewed enthusiasm.

Finally running that marathon? Excited about your new diet? Bursting at the seams over your new project? Good. Keep it to yourself.
Announcing your intent to do these feats will backfire. Resist the urge to reap the barrage of Facebook likes, and gushing comments. The positive feedback you receive from your network will trick your brain into thinking you’ve already accomplished your goal, sabotaging your once-motivated brain to do said feat.

8. Embrace vulnerability.
We live in a culture where we horde Instagram followers, and Facebook likes. The perception of our lives being anything less than perfect is a daunting notion. The glossy Facebookification of our lives can create a dangerous facade of success.
Sharing defeats and admitting failure is a powerful cultivator of motivation, allowing you to move past the failure. Work through the emotion instead of taking it out on someone else. Then move on to something more constructive.
Sharing these vulnerable moments also cultivates deeper connection with peers.

9. Do what you love (sort of).
Find what it is you love to do and get proficient at it. Success dwells at the fulcrum of passion and excellence.
But be careful. Make sure that you can make a living from your passion. I’m passionate about a lot of things that I know I’m not so amazing at and that I definitely can’t make a living at.

10. Focus.
There is a an anecdote I’ve heard about Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, and Gates’s father at a dinner party. A guest asked them what the most important quality for success was today and all three responded “Focus” at the same exact time. They all smiled and laughed to each other because they hadn’t really prepared the answer.
We are all inundated with texts and emails. These are no longer just work interruptions. Because of the mini-computers we carry around in our pockets, the flood of information distracts us wherever we happen to be, 24/7.
So turn off your iPhone, stop trolling your ex-lover’s Facebook page, and get to work.
