Friend of our heart.
Yes, it’s true, chocolate is the friend of our health and of our heart! It contains polyphenols and antioxidants that protect our heart. Cocoa contains ‘good fats’ which have favourable affect on our blood cholesterol levels. Dark chocolate contains substances which protect blood vessel’s walls and this way it helps to reduce the risks of cardiovascular diseases.

Helper of youth?
Dark chocolate contains a lot of antioxidants, as well as vitamins, such as vitamins A, B, C, D, E (as well as many others) which are very beneficial for our health and youth. For example, the vitamin E helps to slow down the rate of cell’s ageing and oxidation.

Chocolate lifts up one’s mood.
It stimulates endorphin production, which gives us the feeling of pleasure.
Chocolate contains phenylethylamine which can lift up our mood, magnesium which can assist in fighting stress and help feel better and it also contains small amount of cannabinoids (substances from the same family as marijuana contains), but in chocolate the amount of them is very small, therefore, chocolate can’t give us a drug effect, but it can really improve our mood.

Unusual facial.
Chocolate can be used very efficiently as a facial mask. It’s recommended for people with dry skin, because this mask is very nourishing. To prepare the mask, take 50 grams of dark chocolate (containing 70% of cocoa or higher) and melt it. When this chocolate mass begins to cool down till the room temperature – add one table spoon of olive oil, mix it all up and apply on your face. (It’s important to pay attention to the temperature of this substance, it should be cooled down till the room temperature before you apply it on your face). After 10-15 min, rinse your face thoroughly.
“Choco-mask” will nourish your skin with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. After couple of times of doing this mask the skin becomes more firm, fresh looking and soft. If you have a very fair skin – the chocolate mask can give you slightly bronzed look (be aware of it).

Precautions before using any chocolate facials:
1) It’s not recommended to apply chocolate mask on a hyper sensitive skin, because it can cause allergic skin reactions. Also don’t use this mask if you are allergic to chocolate.
2) It’s not recommended to use chocolate facial if you have very oily skin type, because this mask is very nourishing.
3) When doing chocolate mask, use only pure dark chocolate without add-ons nor flavors; the chocolate should contain, at least, 70% of cocoa or more.
4) Apply chocolate mask only on clean skin.
5) If your skin is very fair, pay attention that chocolate mask can leave slightly darker, sometimes patchy, non-uniform bronzed colour.

Burst of energy.
Chocolate also contains tonic substance, which is very similar to caffeine, it gently stimulates the cardiovascular and nervous systems, causing a burst of energy, but it’s effect is much weaker than that of caffeine, and therefore it’s harmless.
Studies show that people who love and eat chocolate on a regular basis feel happier and almost never suffer from depression.
So, the conclusion is that dark chocolate, being a big exception from all other sweets, is very beneficial to our general wellbeing and health. According to some sources, chocolate also helps boost our immune system and, therefore, prevents a lot of illnesses. Of course, moderation is the key in everything.

Whether you like it or not, the way you look plays a role in your success in the modern workplace. “The problem with appearance is that it translates to performance,” says Nicole Williams, a career expert at LinkedIn. “Even if your boss doesn’t think that they’re thinking any less of you, they will subconsciously think it. “When you don’t fit in, you’re not as accepted and welcomed.”
And at some point, this could hurt your chances of getting a promotion. In today’s workplace, where casual wear is becoming increasingly popular, it can be tricky to understand the rules of appearance. We talked to career and etiquette experts to get a better idea.
Below are 20 rules every professional should follow:

GENERAL TIPS
1. Understand what’s appropriate in your industry
“Everyone draws their lines differently,” says etiquette coach Barbara Pachter. “For example, you may be able to wear shorts, but not cut-offs. If your company has a dress code, follow it.”

2. Make sure your clothes fit
It may sound obvious, but many get it wrong. “If your clothes are too big or too small, they are not going to look good. Ensuring a proper fit applies to everything you are wearing,” says Pachter. “One interviewer said he was distracted by a man’s short tie.”

3. Wear glasses that fit
Make sure your glasses fit properly and aren’t sliding down your nose. You don’t want to be playing with them all the time, says Pachter. “This becomes distracting.”

4. Dry your hair
Never leave your house with wet hair, warns Williams. It makes you look like you don’t have your life together, which translates to not having your career together.

5. Pay attention to your bag
You don’t want your personal things jutting out of your purse or briefcase. Keep your bag clean on the inside, especially if it doesn’t have a zipper, which allows others to catch a glimpse inside from time to time. Williams also advises professionals not to wear knapsacks because it looks “too collegiate”.

6. Don’t wear strong perfume or cologne
“Anything that anyone else can smell is not good,” says Williams. To get an idea of whether someone can smell you or not, ask someone you trust.

7. Wear well-kept, polished shoes
“One recruiter told me the first thing he notices about a candidate is his or her shoes,” says Pachter. “Make sure your shoes are polished and in good condition.”

8. Pay attention to your watch
“When I ask the participants in my etiquette classes to name the one accessory that they notice most on both men and women, the watch is the most common answer,” Pachter says.

9. Wear rich colours to portray authority
“Pay attention to your colour choices,” Pachter says. “Darker colours usually convey a stronger impression than lighter ones.” If you’re giving a presentation, make sure the colour you’re wearing doesn’t blend in with the background behind you.

10. Avoid neon colours and overly flashy clothes
“Both men and women have to be cautious with bright colours,” Patcher says. Clothes that are too flashy can be distracting and the visual equivalent of shouting.

FOR WOMEN
11. Don’t be too sexy
Not only is wearing inappropriate clothing distracting, it can also give off an inaccurate impression. Avoid too-short hemlines, too-tall heels, plunging necklines, and exposed under garments. “A lot of women are oversexualized in the office,” says Williams. “You can wear a V-neck shirt, but make sure you keep your legs covered. People end up discrediting themselves by looking too provocative.” Pachter agrees: “What do you want to be remembered for? What you wore or what you said?”

12. Wearing nude pantyhose is hip
Ever since Kate Middleton started wearing pantyhose in public, it quickly became stylish again. “It gives you a more finished look,” Pachter says.

13. Get regular pedicures
Williams tells us one of her biggest pet peeves is when women wear open-toed shoes without getting pedicures. “If you’re going to show your toes, make sure your toes are well-groomed,” she says.

14. Don’t over-accessorise
Accessories are meant to complement your outfit, not overpower it. “I once met a woman who had a ring on every finger,” Pachter says. “You couldn’t look at anything else.”

15. Your jewellery shouldn’t make noise
It’s really distracting when someone’s dangly bangles make noises when they move their arms, says Williams.

FOR MEN

16. Avoid ankle socks with slacks
When you cross your legs and the pants slightly lift up, no skin should be showing, says Pachter. Your socks need to be an appropriate length.

17. Facial hair shouldn’t overwhelm your face
No matter how much you want to grow a full, bushy beard, it just might not work for you. Think about it like a haircut — not every cut is going to look good on every person, says Adam P. Causgrove, CEO of The American Moustache Institute. How do you know what style will look good on you? Determine what kind of face shape and features you have. Then find others with similar features who are already sporting moustaches and beards, and experiment with their cut and style.

18. Grow facial hair on a weekend or vacation
You want to look like you’ve grown hair on purpose instead of just being lazy and not shaving, says Causgrove. Williams advises using a weekend or vacation time to grow beards out, because “spotty beards make men look like 18-year-olds.”

19. Trim your beard
Facial hair needs to be kept trim and tidy to maintain a professional look. Causgrove advises doing some research on the proper device. Electric razors can be good for short, trimmed beards, and scissors are better for moustaches, he says.

20. A goatee is rarely a good idea
Any hair that’s under your lower lip that isn’t a beard is not a good idea, says Pachter. “Do you want to be the only person [with it]? It may work for you, it may work against you, but you need to make that decision for yourself,” she warns.

American Intelligence officials have long since concluded that Russia interfered in our election to help Donald Trump, but now the other giant Russian boot has dropped. The New York Times reports tonight that American intelligence and law enforcement officials have confirmed that members of Trump’s campaign for the presidency (as well as Trump associates) had contact with Russian intelligence officers during the presidential campaign.
As reported by GQ, the intercepts alarmed American intelligence and law enforcement agencies, in part because of the amount of contact that was occurring while Mr. Trump was speaking glowingly about the Russian president, Vladimir V. Putin. At one point last summer, Mr. Trump said at a campaign event that he hoped Russian intelligence services had stolen Hillary Clinton’s emails and would make them public.
The officials said the intercepted communications were not limited to Trump campaign officials, and included other associates of Mr. Trump. On the Russian side, the contacts also included members of the Russian government outside of the intelligence services, the officials said. All of the current and former officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because the continuing investigation is classified.
Now the officials have said that so far there’s been no evidence that these calls were about manipulating the American election. We know that Russia hacked the DNC and John Podesta’s emails in what proved to be a successful effort to sway our election. Donald Trump’s campaign aides and close associates were in frequent contact with Russian government officials. One campaign aide who was allegedly in contact with Russia was Trump’s pre-Steve Bannon campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who gave the Times one of the least convincing denials anyone could imagine.
“This is absurd,” he said. “I have no idea what this is referring to. I have never knowingly spoken to Russian intelligence officers, and I have never been involved with anything to do with the Russian government or the Putin administration or any other issues under investigation today.”
Mr. Manafort added, “It’s not like these people wear badges that say, ‘I’m a Russian intelligence officer.’”
So Paul Manafort’s defense is basically, Who’s to say who is or who isn’t a Russian intelligence officer ? This may end up being the biggest political scandal in the history of the republic.

Life is full of unexpected surprises, many of which cost money — a thief smashes the windshield of your car, your son gets sick, your water heater overflows. When people live paycheck to paycheck without any savings, they’re at the mercy of these small crises. Sometimes a tiny problem becomes a huge one because the victim didn’t prepare for possible trouble.
That’s where the emergency fund comes in. By setting aside a particular amount of mobey to cope with life’s slings and arrows, you alleviate worry that a flat tire or a broken bone might prevent you from doing the things you need to do. And once you’ve saved even more, you might find that you sleep more soundly at night.
Studies show that those without emergency savings are more likely to accumulate debt. An emergency fund is like cheap insurance. If you have a cash cushion, your financial plans can’t be derailed by a single unexpected event — unless it’s huge.

The opportunity fund
But not everything unexpected is bad. Sometimes life brings us lucky breaks — but these opportunities can still cost money. That’s why it makes sense to also keep a chunk of cash in an “opportunity fund.”
I first learned about opportunity funds from reading about billionaires and business owners. These savvy savers often set aside money specifically to take advantage of unexpected opportunities.
I once read an interview with Mark Cuban , for example, in which he described how a person should handle a windfall. “First, I pay off all my credit card debt and evaluate paying off any other debt I have,” he said. “What I have left I put in the bank.”
Why? “Because then it’s available for when I get a good opportunity. Every five years or so there is a bubble bursting or amazing deals available because of a change in the economy.”
Jim Wang (from the small-business blog microblogger.com) is a strong proponent of opportunity funds. “Missing out on an opportunity is often as bad as being struck by an unexpected expense,” Wang wrote for U.S. News last autumn. “In reality, both funds are important if you want to be financially responsible.”
Although I don’t strictly keep an opportunity fund the way I keep an emergency fund, I do keep enough cash on hand to take advantage of lucky breaks. For example:
When a friend wanted investors for his business, I had money to contribute. I’ve earned a handsome return because I could afford to take a risk.
When I spotted a great deal on a last-minute Alaskan cruise, I was able to book a fun (and relatively cheap) vacation.
When I found a deeply discounted display model at the local warehouse store, I was able to purchase a top-rated television at a bargain price.
Your opportunity fund doesn’t need to be as accessible as your emergency fund, so it’s OK to put the money in mutual funds or certificates of deposit . The fund will start small. But as your financial situation improves, you can contribute more and more to the account. In time, your opportunity fund will become large enough that you can do some truly amazing things — like take time off for a round-the-world trip with your best friend, or quit your job to start your own business, or buy that classic car you’ve always wanted.

Buying freedom
Over the past year, I’ve spoken with dozens of people who have achieved financial independence. These folks have accumulated enough capital that they’re no longer compelled to work for an income (although some choose to work for other motives). Many have remarked that money hasn’t bought them happiness; rather, it’s bought them freedom. When an opportunity arises, they can afford to take advantage of the situation.
This is an important point. Financial freedom isn’t an absolute thing. It’s not like you either have it or you don’t. Financial freedom exists on a continuum.
When you eliminate your debt, you increase your financial freedom.
When you build emergency savings, you increase your financial freedom.
When you boost your savings rate (whether by increasing income or decreasing expenses — or both), you increase your financial freedom.
And so on.
As you progress along the continuum of financial freedom from “enslaved by debt” to “financially independent,” you achieve certain milestones. For instance, you eventually reach a point where you have “Screw-It Money,” a cash cushion large enough that you you could quit your job, if you wanted.
The opportunity fund is another key component of financial freedom.

If you are new to exercising, or trying to improve the effectiveness of your routine, it can be tricky to work out which exercises really do work and which ones do not. You can always find some new-fangled exercise that will tie you up in knots, but the simplest and the most basic ones are often the best. Here are ten of those exercises what are guaranteed to get you major results.

1. Walking
Let’s get back to basics! However fit, or unfit, you are anyone can benefit’s from a brisk walk. You don’t need any equipment, you don’t even need to raise a sweat, but it will still raise your heart rate and burn off some calories. Step up the pace a bit when you walk and walk more often, then you will see major results without even really trying.

2. Squats
Squats are a really effective way of toning legs and your calves and they will tighten up your core too. If you don’t already, build some squats into your daily workout routine and you will be able to feel and see the difference they make. When you do squats, keep your back straight and your arms out in front of you for the maximum effect.

3. Push-ups
You can’t beat the old fashioned push-ups for toning your core and building up your arm muscles, and you don’t need any special equipment or weights. Push-ups are far more of an all-round exercise than you might have thought. They will strengthen your chest muscles, shape your triceps and your shoulders, and they help to tone your entire core too. They’re also a great way to burn off some calories, so try to repeat as many times as you can.

4. Dips
Whether you use a chair, a table, your bed, or you do them on the flow, dips will tone your arms and strengthen your back really effectively. Just sit with your arms at your sides and then lower yourself down and pull yourself up again. If you want to try floor dips, sit with your knees bent and your arms behind you and then lift yourself off the floor.

5. Planks
Planks are not at all complicated, but they will firm up your abs, and strengthen your core and arms. Start by getting yourself down in the push-up position, then bend your elbows and hold your weight on your forearms. Suck in your tummy and hold yourself out straight for as long as you can. The trick to getting the most of planks is to keep your back as straight as possible.

6. Lunges
Lunges are another of those classic exercises that are so effective. They tone up your legs, tighten up your backside, and they work off a few calories too. The trick with lunges is to make sure that you keep your back straight, your chin up, and your eyes looking forward. You should be looking at doing twenty lunges on each leg, but, like all these exercises, start off with what you feel comfortable with and then work your way up.
7. Leg raises
Leg raises will give you major results on your abs fast. Lay flat on your back with your hands at your side and, if you can manage it, raise both legs, keeping straight, until they are pointing at the ceiling. Raising both legs at the same time is tough, so if you struggle with that, try raising one leg at a time and alternating between the two. Just remember to keep those legs straight.

8. Crunches
Crunches are the best exercise for flat abs, but be careful how you do them, or you could hurt your back or neck. Lie flat on your back with your knees bent and place your hands behind your head, but not clasped together. Tilt your chin forward and lift your neck and shoulders off the floor. Hold that position for a moment and then let yourself gently back down to the floor.

9. Kneeling leg lift
This is a great exercise for toning your rear and strengthening your hamstrings. Kneel on the floor with your hands flat on the ground. Lift one leg out behind you so that it makes an “L” shape. Lower your leg down again and repeat with the other leg. Repeat raising alternate legs as many times as you can. Your target for this exercise is 40 times for each leg.

10. Mountain climbers
Mountain climbers are an effective, all-round body workout that will have a major impact on a range of different muscle groups and it’s especially good for the abs. Get yourself into the push-up position, with your arms extended. Lift one leg up and raise your knee up towards your chest, then return to the starting position and repeat the exercise with the other leg. Then, continue alternating legs for as many repetitions as you can manage.

This means exfoliating regularly, as we have already mentioned, keeping your lips hydrated with the regular use of a lip balm and using a primer, before you apply your lipstick. A primer will provide a smooth base for the lipstick to adhere to and it will also help stop the lipstick bleeding.

3. Starting from the wrong point
Another common mistake that people make is that they start applying their lipstick form the wrong starting place. Yes, there is a right and a wrong way to apply lipstick! 4. Using the wrong lipstick shade for your shape of lips

7. Letting lipstick get on your teeth

12. What about the singles?
Valentine’s Day also doubles as Singles Awareness Day in many countries. In China, however, it is celebrated on Nov 11 and singletons are known for treating themselves to some online shopping. The date has been dubbed China’s ‘Black Friday.’

Approximately 50 million roses are received on Valentine’s Day around the world.
