The House of Representatives on Tuesday urged the federal government to institute a Presidential Task Force to commence immediate disarmament of armed herdsmen in Benue and other parts of the country, Naij.com reports.

The House also resolved to set up an Ad-hoc Committee to examine measures taken by security agencies in the country to curb the menace.
The resolutions followed the adoption of a motion sponsored by Rep. Emmanuel Orker-Jev (Benue-APC) and 10 others.
Presenting the motion, Orker-Jev condemned the invasion of communities in Buruku local government area of Benue by armed and strange herdsmen on March 9.
According to him, the herdsmen destroyed farms, plundered yam barns and looted houses deserted by innocent and harmless villagers.
Orker-Jev further explained that the invading herdsmen became violent and destructive, created fear and tension which forced residents of most communities in Binev council ward to flee their homes.
He said the herdsmen attacked and killed anybody they encountered around the communities of Ber Awuna, Dogo, Ortese – Mbashian, Tse Igyu, Tse Gebe, Anbighir, Tse Iwa, Gbaikyo, Agudu, Nyorum, Shonto and Abuku communities.
“These violent attacks continued unabated without any intervention from any security agency throughout Saturday and 20 people were reported killed by these armed herdsmen, out of which 10 corpses have so far been recovered and deposited at the local government.
“These strange herdsmen who are heavily armed with sophisticated weapons, seem to be operating or supported by a killer squad of mercenaries,” he added.
The lawmaker, who said the attack had become a perennial occurrence, called for the arrest of perpetrators in order to restore security in the state.
Rep. Adamu Entonu (Benue-PDP) urged the Federal Government to brand the herdsmen terrorists and treat them as such.
“It is very annoying that since the attacks started, no one has been arrested,” Entonu said.
Rep. Baballe Bashir (Kano-APC) said that the herdsmen attacks started over 20 years ago.
“Nigeria has herdsmen from different tribes and tackling the issue is the concern of every Nigerian.
“Unfortunately, it is a systemic failure on the previous governments for the inability to curb the menace,” Bashir said.
Rep. Herman Hembe (Benue-APC) said “government has not shown willingness to address the issue.
“Ordinarily our communities would have accommodated them, but the damage they cause brings to question what their intentions are.
“That is not how we ought to move as a nation; we need to take conscious decisions towards addressing the issue,” Hembe added
The House therefore urged the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to send food and other relief materials to the affected communities.
The matter was referred to the Committee on Special Duties which is expected to report back to the House in two weeks.

Women really should avoid shaving facial hair, because it doesn’t provide you with a long lasting solution and it could even make matters worse than if you had left the hair on your face.

2. Waxing
How to remove facial hair? One option is to get the affected area waxed. Just like any other wax, a facial wax will remove the hairs by their roots, so it will last for several weeks. The downside, though, is that your face, especially your upper lip, is very sensitive and there is no denying that waxing your face will hurt. Having said that, the pain doesn’t last for long, so you might think it’s a small price to pay for a few hair free weeks.

3. Threading
If waxing sounds too painful for you then, for smaller areas of the face, threading is an alternative that you might prefer. Threading is more commonly used for shaping eyebrows, but it is just as effective for removing facial hair. 4. Bleaching
Another tip on how to remove facial hair is to try bleaching. Depending on your skin tone, you could dye or bleach your facial hair to make it is less visible. You can buy kits that are made especially for the purpose and this is a completely painless way to make facial hair much less of a problem.

5. Depilatory creams
Another painless way to remove facial hair is with hair removal creams. Known as depilatory treatments, these creams or lotions dissolve the unwanted hair completely. You have to be very careful to follow the instructions, though, because misuse can lead to chemical burns on the face and even scarring.

6. Laser treatment
Laser treatment removes the hair by destroying the root with pulses of light. This is a long lasting treatment that may become permanent after a few treatments. It is, however, quite expensive to have done and you may need regular touch up treatments to keep the hair away.

7. Tweezing
You could, of course, try removing the excess facial hair yourself with tweezers. It’s effective, it’s cheap and it won’t be as painful as waxing. The big downside to tweezing, though, is that it will be very time consuming for larger areas of the face.

8. Sugaring
Sugaring is very similar to waxing, but it is said to be a lot less painful. A paste of sugar and lemon is applied to the skin and then dragged off, against the direction of hair growth and then removed in the opposite direction, removing the hairs by the roots, just as the case with waxing, sugaring is only a temporary solution and the treatment would have to be repeated regularly.

9. Electrolysis
How to remove facial hair permanently? Electrolysis is, after a few treatments, a permanent solution to the problem of facial hair. The treatment works by giving the hairs a small electric shock, which kills the hair follicle and stops the hair growing. The downsides are: that it is a time consuming treatment, a relatively expensive one and it can be painful, though not as painful as waxing is.

10. Don’t panic unnecessarily
A lot of women obsess about facial hair unnecessarily, so don’t let that happen to you. If you look closely enough, you will find fine hairs on everyone’s face and yours might be completely invisible to everyone else. What are the main symptoms of diabetes?
