Emerging report from London Times, a United Kingdom, UK, based Newspaper, revealed that close Allies to President Muhammadu Buhari, are allegedly profiting from the President’s prolonged illness.
Recall, that a coalition of over twenty-two (22) democratic elements under the auspices of the National Coalition of Democrats, had expressed dismay over the activities of The National Leader of The All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu.
The coalition group had described Tinubu as a leader of a cabal, seeking to use issues around Buhari’s health as an opportunity to achieve a clandestine motive.
Addressing a Press Conference in Jos, the Plateau State capital, recently, Melvin Ejeh, the Executive Director of Global Peace and Life Rescue Initiative, GOPRI, and Dr. Charles Okoroji, of the Action Against Oppression Initiative, AAOI, stated that Nigerians have followed the recent turn of event around the President’s health, and how some self-acclaimed political gladiators are making a storm out of a tea cup, in pursuit of reinventing their fledgling political stature.
The London Times Report reads:
The Nigerian leader’s absence on Wednesday, from his third cabinet meeting in as many weeks, has heightened fears about his health, and whether close Allies might be profiting from his illness.
President Muhammadu Buhari, 74, has barely been seen since returning in March, from seven weeks of medical leave in London, where he was treated for an unspecified illness.
His wife, Aisha, played down the extent of her husband’s health problems in a series of tweets on Tuesday night, in which she said that his “health is not as bad as it’s being perceived”, and that he “continues to carry out his responsibilities.
Despite Mrs Aisha Buhari’s reassurances, the President failed to attend the meeting of the Federal Executive Council, which was held as usual within walking distance of the Presidential Villa. “All he is doing is following his Doctors’ advice to rest enough,” Lai Mohammed, the Information Minister, said.
On his return from Britain, Buhari said that he had never been so ill and alluded to having had a blood transfusion, but further details about his condition remain closely guarded. He has now missed three successive Cabinet meetings, a prayer session last Friday, and one of his grandson’s weddings, on Saturday.
A group of politically unaligned members of civil society, urged Mr Buhari this week, to “heed the advice of his personal Physicians, by taking a rest to attend to his health without any further delay”. One of the signatories, the Political Analyst, Jibrin Ibrahim, told The Times yesterday, that he was worried the President, whose reputation for honesty belies that of many Nigerian Politicians, was being manipulated.
The real concern is that people around him might be blocking him from getting treatment abroad, for selfish reasons, Ibrahim said.
Asked what those reasons might be, Ibrahim said: “Pecuniary. If the President is not on top of things, then all sorts of deals could be being done.” He said that there was “suspicion, but we have no proof of this, they might be making money behind his back”.
Some diplomats believe that close Allies of Mr Buhari, a Muslim from the North, are motivated by keeping the Presidency away from the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, a Christian from the South, with an eye to the next election, due in two years. “Getting Buhari to anoint a Northerner as his successor for 2019, is their only goal,” one diplomat said, adding that, Mr Osinbajo’s well-received performance during Mr Buhari’s seven-week absence, had only “hardened their resolve”.
Wole Soyinka, the Nigerian Nobel Laureate, has called on the President to reveal the nature of his condition, and has likened Mr Buhari’s stance to that of President Trump, on his tax returns.
The uncertainty over Mr Buhari’s health, comes at a difficult time for Nigeria, which is under severe pressure from low prices of oil, its primary export, and internal security problems, including those posed by Boko Haram terrorists, and food shortages in the North-East.
Many Nigerians remain concerned about potential political turmoil given the similarities to events in 2009, when President Yar’Adua, a Muslim from the country’s North, left for medical treatment in Saudi Arabia. He was never seen in public again, and died soon after his return to Nigeria, in May, 2010.

Cerebro Spinal Meningitis (CSM) has killed not less than eight people at Tsabu village in Mai’adua Local Government Area of Katsina State, an official has said.
Alhaji Nasiru Mani, the Director of Primary Health Care of the council, confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Mai’adua on Thursday.
Mani said the outbreak of the deadly disease was discovered in the last two days following a report from the community.
He said that 16 cases were recorded out of which eight people lost their lives.
According to him, the remaining patients have been admitted at the Mai’adua and Daura general hospitals for proper medical attention.
“We (LGC) had since deployed a surveillance team to the area to address the situation,’’ said the director.
He said the combined efforts of state and local government medical teams have succeeded in addressing the problem.
“I called on our people to avail themselves for the ongoing vaccination against such diseases to curb further spread of the disease.
“We have designated centres at our rural clinics where people are being immunised or vaccinated against such diseases,” he said.
Mani commended the role of Medicines San Frontiers (MSF) or doctors without borders for their efforts in addressing the outbreak.
He called on the people of the area to adhere to the safety measures of sleeping inside ventilated rooms, houses and environs.
Besides, the director advised residents to report suspicious cases and visit nearby health centres over any symptom.

During an interview with BON on Wednesday morning, Larry Gentry in his words said: “Mercy has mental issues and I’m the one who knows how many places we’ve been to so she can remain stable. I have papers to prove this.”
Larry disclosed that contrary to the news that made the rounds that he beat her up, it was Mercy that ganged up with her friends in her designer, Luminee House, to attack him. He claimed that while the others beat him, his wife hit him hard with a stool.
Invoking biblical curses on himself, he sweared that he has never beaten Mercy before, despite the fact that he caught her several times with different men. He cited an example of last year when she said that she was going to China for 2 weeks but instead, went to a Dubai hotel with a man. .
To prove his point, Larry showed BON different whatsapp conversations and a particular one where Mercy was asking a third party to get some dollars from the man for her.
“When I confronted my wife, she said she only wanted to collect money from him – a married woman!!! But I discovered that it was the same man that paid for the Magodo house she just moved to.
See, I understand her antics too well. All she wants is be free to live the life of a single woman. What I have tolerated from her all these years, no man can tolerate from any woman.
I worshipped her and I have deposited N8m at Benefit Motors to buy her a N16m Range Rover Evoque for her 40th birthday. I have also paid N1.2m for a hall opposite Sheraton Hotel to celebrate her big, but she has her eyes on other things.”
Asked why he has not consulted her family to intervene, he says Mercy has no regard for her parents, citing an example of last year when her dad collapsed while on the queue to get his pension and was rushed to the hosipital..
When Mercy was informed, Larry said she lied that she was in Calabar and till now, had not gone to see the old man. He claimed that he was the one that went there and spent about N180k adding that because she refused to take care of her mom, he put the old woman on a salary of N25k per month.

Blackheads, whiteheads and, the worst of all, acne, are all conditions caused by clogged pores. The bad news is that you have a pretty high chance of getting, at least, one of these problems at some point, especially, if you live in an urban environment. The good news is that you can avoid it or deal with it, when it happens, by simply taking good care of your skin. Here are the four causes of clogged pores and how to counteract their effects.
1. City air
If you could see a sample of an average city’s air you’ll probably be horrified. Then you’ll be thankful for all the green initiatives spreading across the world, aiming to make cities cleaner. Air contains billions of different particles, including the exhaust fumes of cars and the smoke from any manufacturing facilities in the nearby area. Then there is our lifestyle, which is often far from perfect. We eat bad food, we don’t drink enough water, we don’t move about enough, and this all reflects on our skin. So, what to do? For starters, change your eating habits, of course. That’s the advice you’ll get for any skin problem and there’s a good reason for this. Whatever you put in your mouth will sooner or later show up on your skin, whether as a pimple or a rash. Then, make sure you cleanse your face regularly. The trick is to turn it into a stable habit and start doing it without thinking. It might take some time to get used to it, but one day you’ll find you’re reaching for the cleanser automatically. Choose something with salicylic acid or, if you want to go the natural way, make yourself a parsley mask. Put a bunch of parsley leaves in boiling water, let it stay for a while and cool down, then dip a washcloth in it and put on your face.
2. Cosmetic products
According to dermatologists, women on average try between five and ten new cosmetic products every year. Every single year! That’s a lot, in case you’re wondering what’s wrong. We’re talking skin care here, by the way, not foundation and eyeshadow. What’s perhaps even worse, is that using something like four different acne-fighting products at the same time will have the exact opposite of the desired effect. After all, there’s just so much your skin can handle. Besides, it takes time for it to react to a remedy and it seems that few of us are willing to give it that time, which ranges between a month or two. Then, of course, there’s makeup. Or rather, makeup removal. However light and innocent your makeup, you cannot go to sleep with it. Remove before going to bed, that’s an unbendable rule. And do it thoroughly, otherwise you’ll get clogged pores with express delivery. Remove, cleanse, wash, just make sure it’s all gone and your skin can breathe. That’s what it needs its pores for, to breathe. You block them with makeup, you clog them very effectively and then suffer the consequences. Also try to not wear heavy makeup every day, all day, give your face a break.
3. Dead skin cells
That’s one of the two actual direct culprits for clogged pores – the dead cells your skin sheds constantly. Your body releases dead cells all the time, everywhere but this is, of course, most obvious on the skin. That’s why we bathe regularly, after all, and scrub, and exfoliate, and all the rest of it. What the dead cells do is form a very thick plug in the pore. If the pore gets blocked up really well, you get a whitehead. If the block is not complete, you get a blackhead, because the air and external dirt colour the top of the plug. Fascinating stuff, no doubt. So, what do you do to get rid of these plugs? You wash regularly and make sure your skin is well moisturised because water dries it. You also exfoliate with either a homemade facial scrub or a commercial one, to take care of dead skin cells in a more resolute way. Oatmeal scrubs are a good choice, because oatmeal will not dry your skin excessively. Also, steam baths are a great solution, as the steam will cause the pores on your skin to expand, making it easier for you to clean them. For the cleaning you might consider some essential oil.
4. Sebum
This brings us to the second direct culprit, the agent that joins forces with the dead skin cells to plug up your pores. This is sebum, the oily substance that the pores are there for in the first place. Deep in your skin, you have thousands of tiny little glands called sebaceous glands. Their job is to keep your skin moisturised and clean, for which purpose they secrete sebum. The sebum gets to the surface via the pores and basically acts like glue for the dirt accumulated there to keep it from entering the skin. Its second function is to get the dead skin cells out of the pores. So, if you don’t cleanse your face regularly, the sebum, dirt and dead skin cell mixture just piles up and blocks the pores. By the way, you may be wondering what’s the difference between clogged pores and acne. Acne is what you get when the clogged pore gets a guest: a bacteria. There are different types of bacteria that normally live on the surface of the skin and don’t do anything harmful, but there are some types that get the sebaceous glands infected, resulting in painful, unaesthetic pimples. So, you see how important exfoliation and regular cleansing are. They help the glands and the sebum do their job. Moisturising is equally important: if you let your skin get too dry, the glands will start producing excessive amounts of sebum to compensate, and excessive is not a good word.

Washington, USA – With the publication of her new self-help book, Ivanka Trump must navigate complicated ethical territory.
The focus of intense public interest, the first daughter and unpaid White House adviser has somewhat sought to limit her profile. But this week she came out with “Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success,” a book that developed from a women-friendly marketing campaign by her lifestyle brand.
While Trump has opted to donate proceeds to charity and avoid a publicity tour, the book has generated a rash of media coverage – and some fresh questions about whether she could profit from her rising profile, particularly as her name is synonymous with her brand.
Ivanka Trump has turned from sassy to serious with her second book, an exploration of women and the workplace. The book, “Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success,” comes out May 2. President Donald Trump’s daughter and adviser offers earnest advice for women on advancing in the workplace, balancing family and professional life, and seeking personal fulfilment.
Ivanka Trump has stressed that the book is a personal project written before her father, Donald Trump, was elected president in November. Citing federal ethics rules, she has said she will not do a publicity tour or media appearances, saying she wanted to “avoid the appearance of using my official role to promote the book.”
Still, Trump tweeted on Monday and Tuesday from her personal account about the book, noting the charities that will receive grants. And while Trump has done few interviews since her father’s inauguration, she appeared on CBS on Monday and was interviewed for a New York Times article that was published in Tuesday’s paper. She did not mention the book in either case, but critics noted the timing.
“We never would have allowed it,” said Norm Eisen, President Barack Obama’s chief ethics attorney, who said that any of these moves could be viewed as using her official position for promotion. He said that under his watch an employee who wrote “The Revenant” – which inspired an award winning movie – was not permitted to attend the Oscars ceremony, “because you can’t untangle what’s personal and what’s official.”
Jamie Gorelick, an attorney for Trump, said she had received advice from the Office of Government Ethics that she could use her personal social media accounts to post about the book. White House spokeswoman Hope Hicks said the media appearances “had nothing to do with her book, the timing was not driven by her schedule, and she has not spoken about her book in a media interview.”
Trump stepped away from running her brand and from an executive role at the Trump Organization before she joined her father’s administration as an unpaid adviser. But critics note that she still owns the brand, which could be boosted by her high-profile stint at the White House.
For the book, Trump has chosen to donate the proceeds to charity, setting up a fund to receive the unpaid portion of her advance and future royalties. The first grants, worth $100,000 each, will go to the National Urban League and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Richard Painter, who served in an ethics role for President George W. Bush, said Trump has the right to write books, noting that the issue is if she is “going to profit over using an official position to increase book sales.” But he said he thought it was a stretch to call the book an ethics violation unless it is talking a lot about her White House role or “using the White House to sell clothes via the book.”

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s health status would not affect plans to mark the second anniversary of the administration, which comes up in a few weeks.
Nigerian Tribune reports Muhammed said the government had reasons to celebrate because of achievements recorded in various sectors in the last two years.
“We’d be two years old in a few weeks time. And in our very normal customary way, we are going to mark it because we have a lot of story to tell,” he said.
NAIJ.com gathered that Mohammed said this while reacting to growing concerns over the health status of President Buhari which was heightened on Wednesday May 3, over his absence again at the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
However, the minister insisted that Buhari chose the Wednesday to rest on the advice of his doctors, in order to recover faster.
“You are also aware that the president was and worked at his office yesterday. A few days before now, we came out to say he’s been asked to take some rest by his doctors and he chose today to rest and not to attend the FEC meeting.
“We want to take this opportunity to thank Nigerians who have expressed a lot of concern and sympathy and who have been praying for him. Like we’ve always said, the president will stick to his doctor’s advice so that he can recover much more quickly.”
The minister rejected suggestions that President Buhari was being fed intravenously, describing the report as bunkum, adding that the president would rest for as long as his doctors asked him to.
When asked to react to the report, he said “the answer to your first question is absolute bunkum. It is absolutely untrue that he is being fed. He was in the office yesterday as you all reported.
“And if the doctors say he should take a rest, I think you will recover faster when you rest when you ought to rest, rather than by forcing yourself to work when you are not fit to work.
“All he is doing is he is following the doctor’s advice. The president himself told the nation he has never been this sick and he is going to take it easy. He said it from day one when he came back from the UK.
“So, whatever is happening today is not any strange development, it is exactly what he said. That he’s been advised to take it easy by his doctors and that he will soon also go back for further treatment.
“So, I don’t think its anything that is out of the place from what he said. He has been quite transparent and upfront in the matter concerning his health.”

This is not a movie but real as many are assuming, yes, they are really engaged.
The singer who has been under pressure to get married revealed this on his instagram page at the early hours of Wednesday.
According to him, he secretly proposed to Adesua in February 2017.
He further noted that they have had chemistry even before their cast as a couple in movie ‘Wedding Party’ adding that this was not a promo for a movie or video.
He wrote: “In that time, I got engaged to you in my “made for you” music video… and by pure coincidence, we both got cast to get married in the wedding party movie… but all the while, we were the very best of friends. I guess, in our case, real life will now imitate art.
“I’m not sure what the future will bring, but I’m completely sure that I am ready to face it with you by my side. I pray that God continues to build me into the kind of man that you deserve. I love you Susu.. I feel safe and at peace with you. You mean the world to me. Thank you for agreeing to be my lover and best friend. Thank you for agreeing to be my wife.

Back in December, Kiran and Jyoti Matharoo were arrested for allegedly trying to blackmail billionaire Femi Otedola and cyberbully more than 200 other people throughout Africa with a website, Naijagistlive.
The reports claimed that the women were in possession of photos and videos showing Otedola cheating on his wife. The sisters were eventually charged with extortion, cyberbullying and threatening to kidnap.
Shortly after, a video surfaced on YouTube showing the girls, make-up free and plainly clothed, apologizing to Otedola and his family. In the video apology, the sisters admitted to creating Naijagistlive.
But, recently, while speaking to CTV News Toronto, the sisters denied having anything to do with the website nor the gossip-laden story posted there about Otedola. They said they agreed to make the video in order to have their passports returned.
But even after apologizing, their passports were never returned and the Canadian embassy had to issue a temporary one, with which they fled Nigeria. The sisters insist they were scapegoats in the Nigerian authorities’ alleged attempt to cover-up a “national embarrassment” involving a person with “power and money.”
Now, despite maintaining a low profile since returning to Canada on Jan. 1, the women have decided to speak out and tell their side of the story. They said: “We just decided to speak because everyone thinks we’re missing or dead or worse,” Jyoti said.
“The way the media reported it, they called us sex workers, prostitutes…I’ve never done anything like that. I’ve never blackmailed anyone, never extorted anyone. I think the stain on our reputation will never be cleared,” Jyoti said.
The case against the sisters returns to court May 22 but authorities issued an arrest warrant of arrest in their names because they’ve missed several court appearances. The sister have, however, insisted that they have no intention of returning to Nigeria.

The FG, through the Minister Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, on Tuesday appealed the founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua (TB Joshua) to reconsider his decision to relocate from Nigeria.
He said the such move will not be in the best of the country. TB Joshua on Sunday announced that he would relocate from Nigeria to Israel due to “hostile environment.”
He said, “This is the most persecuted ministry in the world. Who are the people persecuting the ministry? My people, Africa. That is why I choose to live a lonely life. If you want to see me, come to this church. I don’t go out. It has not been easy – because I don’t know who is a friend or who is an enemy.
What happened to me from the beginning of my ministry is enough to chase me out of this country. But I am still in your midst. Upon the persecution and hatred, I decided to follow the path of love. You show hatred; I show love.
When I go for a revival, you will see the stadium full but I am not carried away by that. I leave where I’m celebrated to live where I’m persecuted.”
But Mohammed, in a chat with journalists during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigerian Association of Tour Operators (NATOP) in Lagos, described Joshua’s decision as unfortunate.
Mohammed called for dialogue between the pastor and the authorities over whatever challenges he was facing. His words: “That will be very unfortunate in the sense that if he does move out, it will affect our tourism in Nigeria.
Pastor Joshua is an important person, he must bear with us. This is his country; if he moves out and go to South Africa, for example, the revenue will go to South Africa.
It is better that Pastor Joshua sits down with the relevant authority and resolve whatever problem he has. If I have access to him, this is exactly what I am going to tell him.”

Taiwo Obasanjo, in a letter to The Methodist Church of Nigeria, said: “I am not against the wedding, all I am relentlessly pleading is for a shift in the date and they turned against me, even on the 11th and 13th of May they are planning to assassinate me or keep me in police custody to allow the devilish wedding ceremony hold.
Sir, is this a wedding ceremony or a clever, premeditated, devilishly calculated scheme to sacrifice thousands of souls as they come to the feast of death, ostensibly announced as wedding ceremony?
I am alive and healthy and I am not mad, God used me to convince my son to change his mind to marry this lady called Tope Adebutu, now they want to kill me by all means possible.”
Mrs. Obasanjo also said she would stage a peaceful, public protest on the days of the wedding. “This protest is to bring out people to praise the Almighty God as they hold the demonic ceremony. .
.
Please, I want the whole world to know that I am not mad and I am not against my son’s wedding but the whole truth will be revealed by the Almighty God who sees in secret all that is hidden, for the power of the Almighty God is supreme.
The two dates were chosen and compelled by Satan for them to lure unsuspecting numerous souls to a banquet of death, that will result in strange holocaust in our nation.
After the wedding, you will be hearing and seeing incidents of plane crashes, fire incidents, multiple road accidents, tankers and trailer killing people, cancers, diseases of kidney, liver, prostrate, eyes issues and diverse health problem causing strange death in people and the economy situation will worsen.”
