According to a report by, embattled senator, Dino Melaye, has vowed to appeal the judgement of a federal high court in Abuja, which ordered the continuation of the process for his recall from the upper chamber.
Recall that the High Court had given the Independent National Electoral Commission permission to proceed with its planned recall of Senator Melaye, dismissing the senators suit for lacking merit.
Justice Nnamdi Dimgba had said Melaye’s complaints are “hasty, premature and presumptuous,” ordering INEC to go ahead with its planned verification of signatures contained in the petition.
Speaking with newsmen, Melaye’s lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, said he had been directed to file an appeal today, Tuesday.
He added that a fresh motion against the respondents will also be filed after his client had viewed the petition against him.
“Of course we are challenging the judgment. The appeal against the judgment would be filed tomorrow (Tuesday).
“We are appealing against parts of the court judgement that did not favour us.
“You know that they did not initially want to disclose the identities of the petitioners to our client. But today, the court has ordered that they should provide the details of all the signatories.
“After looking at them and being able to show that some of them are fake, the names of dead people, I can assure you that we will start a fresh legal battle against the respondents,” Mr. Ozekhome said.

Bidemi Kosoko is a Nollywood actress born in a family of actors. Her father is Prince Jide Kosoko is a veteran actor while Henrietta Kosoko, her stepmother and her sister, Sola Kosoko are actresses too.
An open letter was addressed to the Yoruba actress Bidemi Kosoko by a makeup artist who asked to be anonymous.
“Please can somebody help me talk sense into this lady, I have met her on three separate occasions and she has always disappointed me.
The first time I met her was on a movie set, I will not mention the name of the movie, I was assisting a make up artist and when she came by, I said hi to her but she refused to answer me.
At a point, I felt so uncomfortable working with her due to her manner-less gesture throughout the makeup session.
Secondly, I met her at a birthday party, infact, I was so afraid of coming near her and when I finally did, she shunned me.
Lastly, I met her on Sunday, I was so ashamed of myself when another girl was talking about her rudeness.
This time around, I ignored her completely.
My fear for this proud b****rd is that when she eventually marry, her arrogance may affect the marriage and she will return to her father’s house.
I must give it to Sola Kosoko, a very humble and approachable lady, anytime there is a makeup session that has to do with her, I’m always eager to go but for this rude Bidemi, I can reject a million naira project.
Let me stop here , I hope this message gets to her.”
