So much has been said about the alleged relationship between Simi, and her colleagues, Adekunle Gold and Falz. But no one really knows how the trio actually met. Simi talks about these two men in her lives and how they met.
In a chat with Punch, she traced the genesis of their relationship. “I met Adekunle Gold while I was performing at an event centre in Lagos. Unknown to me, he had been listening to me since I was a gospel artiste and he said he was a fan of my music. At that time, I just knew him as a graphic artist, popularly referred to as the ‘King of Photoshop;’ I didn’t even know he was a singer, but we just became close from there. As for Falz, he heard one of my works, and he reached out to me on Twitter. From there, we hooked up in the studio and did some things together. Soldier was actually my song, and when he heard it, we decided to work together on it,” she said.
Speaking on her relationship status, she said, “I always like to keep my personal life away from the public. All I can say is that I am in a relationship but I just don’t want to disclose the person’s name.”
On whether she entertained any fears about the success of her new album, she said, “I am not afraid of failure because I feel you learn even when you fail. I was more interested in thinking of how people would react to the songs in the album. It’s not possible for everybody to like a particular thing. Even for the biggest legends in the world; they have some people who don’t like them. I was once signed to a record label for four years but things didn’t work out well. There were times that I was really frustrated, but I have never wanted to stop doing music. Music is the one thing that I’m very passionate about.”
Speaking on how her diminutive size impacted on her childhood, she said, “While growing up, I was a bit defensive. Because of my small size, I always thought that people were trying to take advantage of me. I’m not an easy person to bully. I have a mind of my own, and I always say whatever I’m feeling; I don’t hold back. But my voice has always worked to my advantage. However, I hate it when people mimic me, or treat me like a child because of my voice.”

Struggling to get a flat tummy? In this article we take a look at 6 flat stomach foods you might not have considered yet as you look to get a flatter stomach.
1) Soy Beans: Soy beans are sometimes confused with edamame beans, but they’re two different types of bean. However, they are both green, and they are both good flat stomach foods. Soy wins this round, though, on account of being an excellent way to combat belly fat.
2) Salmon: Salmon is one of the healthiest flat stomach foods you can eat, and it’s especially good at combating belly fat.. It’s rich in vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids, both of which take the fight to fat.
3) Eggs: Speaking of eggs! When you combine salmon with eggs, you’re really attacking belly fat. Eggs are stuffed with lots of protein, which is why they make the ideal breakfast meal. Why? Because protein keeps you filled up for longer, thus preventing you from over-eating on calorific junk throughout the morning.
4) Olive Oil: Knowing which oil to cook with is not so easy anymore. We’ve all been scared off by polyunsaturated fats in cooking oils, so much so that we decide to just go with avocado oil like a hipster and hope for the best.
5) Yogurt: For whatever reason, yogurt has developed a reputation among some people for making us fatter, rather than flatter. But thanks to its live bacteria content, the truth is that yogurt helps to flatten your stomach..
6) Apples: Not only does an apple a day keep the doctor away, it also helps to keep belly fat at bay. Unusually for a fruit, apples are absolutely stuffed with fibre. This means that they’re a great snack to eat if you want to avoid binge-snacking on fatty foods. They’re also 85% water. (RipplesNigeria)

Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, recently ventured into the hospitality business and became a food vendor with her amala joint which she called Abula Spot.
But even as she opened the joint, not just a few wondered where and how she was able to get the money which she used in acquiring the two-storey building that houses her joint.
Reacting to the speculations, the actress claimed that she had to sell some of her landed property and also her jewellery in order to achieve her dream.
“I did not collect a loan to open my business, I saved. I had been planning to open this place for a very long time, so I had been saving. When I wanted to get my new office building, I sold some of my property. I sold almost all my gold if not everything. During that time, I sold one batch and when I needed more money, I sold the rest. I told myself to forget about gold for now because I know that I can make the money back later. With the support of good people as well, I was able to get my office building. The first lady of Kwara State who came to inaugurate the building supported me. Some of my godparents also supported me because I told them that I wanted to sell amala,” she said.
Apparently, her new found love would eat much of her time if she wants the business to survive but during the course of chatting with Saturday Beats, the actress said that she has everything figured out.
She further said that selling amala can never make her quit acting. “I can never quit my career for anything. I am a very organised person. When you are organised, you plan ahead. My life is planned and that has helped me a lot. I knew I was going to do this food business but I waited till the right time. For about a month or two, I am not going to be filming so that I can look after my business. I have a structured plan for my business. It is insured, I have an auditor who comes to look at the records. Everything is well planned,” she said.
Ojo who jokingly said that people now refer to her as ‘Iya alamala’ (amala seller) said that she is not ashamed to sell food some people perceive to be local.
“I am a local chic. I made a name for myself by acting in my local dialect which is the Yoruba language and in our culture, amala is the in-thing. I am proud to be selling amala because that is my culture. A Chinese man cannot be ashamed of owning a Chinese restaurant. What I did was that I brought something perceived to be local to the Island and I made it look posh. When something is local, it does not mean that it is dirty. People really long to eat amala and I am not ashamed to be selling it.
“I opened the Abula Spot because I noticed that on the Island, they do not really have anywhere you could go to get the local dish unlike the way we do on the mainland. When I moved to the Island, I decided that I was going to open my restaurant here. I had been planning to open this business for a long while but I did not have the time to monitor it at the time. When I saw that I had the time to go into the business, I went for it. I had two shops on the mainland so I decided to close one down,” the actress said.

According to a report by Buzz Nigeria, Alhaji Muhammadu Abdullahi Sugar, a close ally of Atiku Abubakar, has said that the former Vice-President should take over from President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 because he possesses the “expertise and exposure” needed to address the challenges facing Nigeria.
Sugar who stated this in an interview withDaily Trust, said that if Atiku was given the mandate to pilot the affairs of the country, he would turn around its fortunes within a short period.
“You know, late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua succeeded in addressing most of the challenges facing the country at that time in six months before his ailment weighed him down.
“The template used was that of late Shehu Musa Yar’adua which was co-designed by Atiku.
“So, if Atiku is voted into power, he will restart the implementation of the template for the benefit of the masses. Let me correct the erroneous impression that Atiku is struggling for the presidency for personal benefit: nothing like this. He is bringing his wide range of experience and global connection to fix the country.”
Second Republic lawmaker, Dr. Junaid Mohammed, recently slammed former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, for saying that Northerners are
opposing the restructuring of Nigeria because they are lazy.
According to him, Atiku is a bloody nonentity who thinks he can become President of Nigeria by insulting fellow Northerners.
He said:
“Atiku is a scoundrel and a bloody nonentity. He attained political limelight because the late Musa Yar’Adua put him there; today he wants to position
himself as the leader of the north. But the north doesn’t give people of no consequence such position. His interest is not really about restructuring.
He thinks by insulting the north, the same way we are being insulted by the south, that will give him the presidency.
“With this kind of attitude, he can’t be the president of Nigeria. He will hear from the north at the appropriate time. He is one of those making the south to abuse the north.
“He is angry because his monopoly in the oil servicing sector has been broken. His wealth will never buy him Nigeria’s presidency. The north is
not for sale, Nigeria is not for sale. I pray God sees us beyond 2019, let him challenge me if he ever becomes Nigeria’s president.”
This was a response to the former Vice President’s comment when he hosted a group of youths. He had said the Igbos have been able to develop their region despite fighting the civil war in which they lost a lot of lives and properties but the North has not been able to develop its region as only mud houses are seen in many parts of the region.

President Donald Trump may look to replace Secretary of State Rex Tillerson with CIA director Mike Pompeo after an NBC report alleged Tillerson had called Trump a moron, according to Axios’s Mike Allen.
Trump has focused several tweets and interviews on NBC’s report since the story broke on Wednesday.
He has gone as far as suggesting the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is investigating his possible collusion with Russia during the 2016 election, should investigate “Fake News Networks.”
Tillerson gave a special televised addressseemingly to refute the report and reaffirm his support for Trump and his desire to remain in the administration, but when asked directly about the report he dismissed it as “nonsense” instead of directly denying it.
Now, according to Axios, Trump and Tillerson’s relationship is badly damaged. Ian Bremmer, a political scientist who runs the Eurasia Group tweeted that Tillerson has taken to deriding Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, Trump’s family and close advisers as “the royal family.”
Meanwhile, Trump has publicly questioned Tillerson’s efficacy on Twitter, saying he’s “wasting his time” trying to talk to North Korea.
But Pompeo, who has defended Trump in the past and speaks with him daily, could possibly transition smoothly into the role of Secretary of State. Pompeo has credibility as a member of Trump’s inner circle and a wide variety of government experience, unlike Tillerson.
But sources told Axios that Trump’s chief of staff John Kelly does not want any more staff shakeups, as they generate bad press. For this reason, we may see the reportedly fraught relationship between the president and his secretary of state drag on.
