Popular online retailer, Jumia is currently being sued by Veteran actor, Richard Mofe Damijo.

The case centers around the unauthorized use of the actor’s image on their fashion page without the actor’s permission.

According to reports, the continued use of the image portrays to unsuspecting customers that the online retailer enjoys the patronage or endorsement of the actor.

The actor is a well known brand ambassador for numerous companies, he is known to jealously guide his image and what products and services he is associated with.

The logical conclusion is that the actor’s image has probably raised the brand’s awareness at the actor’s expense.

Jumia has admitted to using the actor’s image but are yet to make an offer for compensation.

RMD has instructed his lawyer to engage the Mumia and to seek redress at a court of law.
